Pros: - staff was really nice & helpful -security at front gate at all times that lets you in as soon as you arrive - access to affiliated resort on the beach with nice pool and poolside service -good A/C -free breakfast consisting of some fruit and cereals. Coffee too. Cons: -water only hot midday when nobody is at the hotel, but when you need it (in the morning & at night) it is not heated as everyone is showering. -You can hear everything that is going on in the lobby and in adjacent rooms. Extremely inconvenient when you’re trying to sleep. -Beds are rock hard, as well as pillows. We checked out a day early because we just couldn’t do it anymore. Back & necks still hurting from the couple nights we stayed there. -Floor had lots of other peoples hair littered throughout. Would’ve liked that to be vacuumed up before we got there. ———I guess you get what you pay for, but at the very least I expect a clean floor and a somewhat comfortable bed/pillow. Everything else could get by because of the price but those two are just basics. The girls at the front are great, however. Cannot stress that enough.

We had excellent time here. Very nice and quiet atmosphere, with a nice pool, parking lot and a shared kitchen. There is a free breakfast included when staying, but it's very light, no eggs for example (but you can make for your own in the fully equipped kitchen). The rooms were very comfortable and very clean, with a nice balcony for each room. The stuff was very welcoming and helped us greatly at finding adventurous near by. Also free bicycle included, and you have access to a nice beach equiped with beds and chairs in a sister hotel (Maria del Mar). The only downside is the location - it's located long distance from the city center and the beach, and a short dirt road with puddles lead over there from the road. All solved with bicycle or car.

Please DO NOT stay here or around this area. First day only cold water, bikes are all broken, Wifi slow, no water on the morning. what you will save on hotel, you will spend on taxis. Its far/deep and an ugly area, do not let get fooled by the pictures. No sound proofing, these are houses made into hotels. Which arent made to be hotels. Please save more money to stay by the beach.

This is a beautiful and well kept hotel with an incredibly friendly and helpful staff. My main criticism isn't necessarily that it is in a relatively far out location, but their free bike rentals included with the stay are in poor condition. The majority have flat tires, minimal seat padding, no parts are available for adjustment, and most of their frames seem to be meant for people around 5'3" or shorter - meaning a ride to the beach on their bikes actually takes an uncomfortable hour each way. My bet is that you can find a place within a nice walking distance to town for cheaper than this place's daily rate + cab fare. My advice to Posada Luna Llena is to invest in improving the bikes they offer for their guests so they're not as isolated from town and the beach

Nice hotel with a beautiful pool and amazing rooms. Staff is nice but only 1 woman spoke English and they don’t really have enough locks for the free bikes which is a shame because this hotel is really far away from everything.. even with a bike. We had to rent a scooter because otherwise we wouldn’t be able to do anything really. Breakfast is okay, but nothing special. The area is also a bit weird, but it’s really good for the price point.

The room was clean, but it smelt like sewage.. I suppose something to do with the drain, also the water from the shower had a weird taste and every time I had a shower I didn’t feel 100% clean?? the free breakfast was ok and cleaning staff was friendly. Just don’t ask for a taxi at the reception desk cause they’ll overcharge you. If you’re planning your trip to Tulum please look up on social media to see how the beaches are in the moment, otherwise you’ll be Surprised to find out so much seaweed and I’ll ruin the whole trip!

I really loved this place. Is located in the “local” area, super cute and friendly. It is quite. There is a big pool where you can swim and enjoy the fresh time. also they serve breakfast and it’s quite nice, I really recommend to stay here they have bike for free but make sure you book them the day before or you are the first in the morning will take them otherwise you will arrive too late enjoy the time in Tulum!

I could not check-in early. I was told check-in is at 4pm. I arrived 30 minutes before and no one is at the front desk. It is 4:10pm and I am told I have to wait for someone to arrive to get my room key. I am told the employee is stuck somewhere because his bike chain fell off so I just have to wait until he arrives to get my room key.
