Not happy. Been here 4 times last time in 2019. It has changed for the worst. Bad management don't care take it or leave it. No dark or amber rum no whiskey. The staff are friendly but making do with what they have. Women's bathroom cut in half and shared by the men because they are fixing the men's room at the beach club. Lastly they gave you the hand out sheet which shows what you get for the all inclusive package and it includes 2 supper per week but you must register the day before. Did but was told that is now a extra cost. Was not told by Westjet and every year in the past it was included. The suppers are chicken and fish basically every night and they don't even try to hide it. Thank God you can walk down to the rinconada where there a number of excellent restaurants. Been here Nov 20 to Dec 04. Maybe we were the first group of Canadians coming here since 2019 because of covid. This went from a 4 star to a 2. Over priced and more expensive. The only thing that hasn't changed it the weather and the friendly Mexican people. By the way. Very safe to walk around town and people are wearing mask s when you come into the stores.

We had our wedding at this hotel. The staff went over and above, they were doing their best to keep us and our guests happy and were constantly asking us if everything was ok and congratulating us. The location of the hotel itself is on a kind of hill overlooking the beach and the ocean which allows for spectacular views. You can walk to Carrizalillo beach (15-20mins) or catch a radio taxi. The beach club is a short walk down some stairs (maybe 4-5 minutes). It is a beauti beach, not ideal for swimming because of the waves, but it is definitely possible in some areas. What it is ideal for is to relax, have a cocktail from the bar and rest on one of the many sunbeds or chairs. The pool area at the beach club is also quite nice and is good alternative for those who don't dare venture into the ocean. The price of the hotel is higher than average compared to other hotels in Puerto Escondido, but due to its unique setting and amazing views, attentive and kind staff, and option of open bar included in the price, the conclusion I had in the end is that it was totally worth it!

This is a 2 star hotel at most. Avoid at all costs. Things that are seriously wrong: - Front desk staff is unattentive and distracted. At times, seems they just had an stroke - Furniture in the rooms is old. Also, light inside is white, so it feels like you are inside the dentist office and it does not make you feel comfortable - The food is really, really, really bad. Only buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and very very very low quality - Same with the beverages: the cheapest ones they could find - The mens bathroom in the lobby stinks - Pool closes at 7:00 pm, and there's no lights around it, so it's quite dangerous. Specially for children - It does not have beach access. There's a beach club that you can get after a 15 minute walk, or wait for the transportation (every 30 mins). Quite unpractical - WiFi barely works. If you plan to have a video conference, cancel your plans Bottomline: pick any other hotel, maybe in Zicatela. It will cost you less but at least you'll be beachfront

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel. The bad reviews are from people who come to puerto Escondido and expect 5 star cancun style resorts. It’s authentic mexico, what did you expect? A bed made of gold? The customer service is amazing, people are nice and will talk to you and smile at you, I liked the food a lot! Drinks are about $6 CAD. Food varies from $6 to maybe $12. Buffet is around $25 or so, and free access to coconuts beach club too! Don’t listen to the reviews about the pool closing at 6; it closes when the sun sets. Also if you come to authentic mexico you really should be eating authentic mexico food in puerto or la punta rather than depending on resort restaurants. I will definitely be coming back!

This is a very dated hotel. They are very limited on drinks offered for an "all inclusive". If we wanted a bottle of water or a bottle of bubbly we had to pay for it. The rooms are basic and the bedding was stained. The food is really just okay. What makes up for the lack everything the resort makes up for on the hill... Their beach club makes up for the rest. Their beach club is great! Awesome location, lots of room to lounge, great pool, and lovely relaxation area under the palm trees. Again, the food and drink are mediocre. I would return to this resort for the beach club alone.

The hotel itself is a little dated and the rooms could use some repairs but overall it was a decent place to stay. The view from the room was awesome, I loved being able to see the beach and the ocean every day. I also enjoyed the direct beach access and use of the lounge chairs and umbrella near the water. However the room had chips and cracks in the floor, the bathroom sink constantly leaked and in general needed some upkeep. Also the food in the hotel restaurant was not very good (I had breakfast and dinner there) and was also rather expensive compared to food in town. The staff were all friendly though. Overall it was a comfortable stay but definitely not a luxury hotel.
