★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hotel looked very promising online, the main problem with it (we found out) is the location. Though relatively close to town centre, it is located at the very end of a local neighbourhood and bordering a forest where local are fighting over land. So, it's a bit scary to walk back at night, plus there's a constant smell of smoke because they are burning staff in the forest. The roomes are nice large and clean. Free breakfast is ok. Would not stay there again....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an oasis in the middle of the town of Tulum. Beautiful property very well managed by its owners. Very clean and with a delicious breakfast. The pool is an added bonus along with the wifi everywhere in the hotel. I had an amazing time. A car is plus since Posada Yum Kim is not walking distance to the center of town. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great hotel. Big beautiful clean and comfortable rooms. Never had better in Mexico. Charming staff. Our second stay. Exciting world-class adventures within day-trip range every day for a week or more. A short walk or inexpensive cab ride from the center of town so away from the noise and crowd but very close. You will not get a better deal in Mexico if you want clean and comfortable by North American standards. Do yourself a favor, stay at Yum-Kin. Beautuful grounds and landscaping. Eat breakfast by the pool and see many local birds including tiny yellow ones the color of Habanero chili frolic in the lush flowering plants all around.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The rooms are pretty good. The architecture is of an older Mexican style. The place is nice and quaint. The staff were very friendly. This place is a 15 min walk to the main road. I would suggest renting a cycle or scooter, for your trip while staying here. It should help with travelling to all the nearby spots.
