★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful place, a little bit scary at night and so noisy in rain season with thunder and lightnings, i will suggest have more bathrooms and food areas. Be careful when walking and climbing with rain you could slip and fall

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The last 3km to reach the place are on a bumpy unpaved stretch but it is worthwhile to reach such a place of beauty. One could walk all around the lake in about an hour. One has the view of the lake throughout the circuit, do not venture into the forest behind . We went on a weekday and had the place nearly to ourselves. The zipline was not functioning. There were several cabanas, fishing, camping and barbecue areas, picnic spots and toilets dotted all around. The entry fee of 30 mxn per adult,15 mxn per child was reasonable. Parking was free but appeared to be only limited space available for it. Please do not leave any trash behind!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really cool place for outdoor activities like fishing, canoeing, having a picnic and stay at a cottage, also for hiking, to the beautiful "Bufa" cliff.
The place has a restaurant where you can eat local food.
The place has a parking lot where you can park your car securely for a cheap price.
This dam is located within a "pueblo magico", so it's a well rounded option to visit for the whole weekend.
