★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredible place. Lots of history!!! House where the Spanish conqueror Hernan Cortes lived around 1520!!! This is the Villa Rica de la Vera Cruz, so it's worth visiting for its historical value.

"Casa de la cultura" just across the street with ladies working hats,bags and sandals by hand. Do not skip the nearby food offered by locals as well as the coconut desserts delicious!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is not to be missed. Over 500 years old, the original home of Hernan Cortes. We found a local guide who took us through the grounds for only a gratuity (no fee). He added some great history to our visit. Do not miss this.
