Love this dive shop. And they have tanks and everything on hand can dive right outside building love it.

Poor training and lack of attention to detail are not things you want to find in scuba training or dive shop managing a dive trip.

Prodive at Occidental Xcaret by Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Good service, nice guys. Taking care of you from the beginning to the end. Excellent service! Friendly staff! Our recent trip to Royal Hideaway on Playacar was a wonderful experience despite Hurricane Irma. The staff moved our boat entry to Puerto Aventuras for ocean diving and the 4 cenotes we dove in were Stupendous❤ Thanks again from Brian and Christina DeLottinville???

Had a very good experience with Prodive! 11 dives and 3 certifications in total for me and my daughter in four days. All handled and organized on an very high professional level. We did six dives with Prodive, including their "shark dive" and a trip to a cenote. One dive with equipment is $81, which is rather expensive, and the shark dive is an additional $50. So, $262 for two people. The boat ride was only a few minutes, and we saw a couple of sharks swimming around the bottom when we made our entry. They swam off as we descended, though. We got to the bottom, sat down, and saw nothing. We were moved to another spot, sat down, and saw nothing. My bottom time was only 32 minutes and I still had over half my air when we got to the surface. There was no feeding/chumming to draw them in (as was done on the shark dives I've been on in Florida, Fiji, and Australia), and we were told afterwards that it's just a good spot to see sharks - usually. That's not a shark dive, and there is no justification for the upcharge. Why charge a boat full of people an extra $50 each to go to a nearby spot and just sit on the bottom, hoping a shark swims by? Other than that, we booked our dives via e-mail two weeks before getting to Mexico and picked the dates (which were confirmed and paid for). We had other things to do while there, and planned on renting a car for a couple of non-dive days. Then, right before we got there, Prodive changed our schedule/days. Fortunately, we were able to re-schedule our rental days and make it work, but it would have really screwed things up if that hadn't been possible. Regardless, the other local dives were okay. Not great, but not terrible. The cenote dive was excellent.

Looking for a good excursion from our hotel (Royal Hideaway), we chose ProDive for Akumal snorkeling to see sea turtles and Dos Ojos cenote snorkeling for a closer look with a guide. Gustavo was attentive, funny, knowledgeable and observant! He helped to correct problems with our own snorkeling equipment for better use, figured out that we were plant and wildlife (sea life for sure) aficionados, going the extra mile to explain, and filled us in on history of the Maya including a bit of language. Great friendly guide! The driver secured our valuables well. Benjamin took good pics in the cenote, well worth $60 to get the set. Lunch near the cenote was authentic and very good in its jungle locale. Real and clean bathrooms available too. Thanks for a wonderful experience!
