Jake is a knowledgeable and professional instructor. He's a great ambassador for Protec. He's passionate about what he does and it's contagious. We had a good time Jake. Thank you. Protec is a shop that is organized and has the industry dialed in. It's the place to go cenote and cave diving in the area for sure.

A must go for Technical Diving and Cave Diving ! This is for me one of the best dive center for Cave Diving in Tulum. Kim is a really nice guy, passionate and really really Professional.I improved my skills so much, and without any doubt my last session with him has been one of the best Cave diving training I ever had. Thanks again Protec Team and see you soon for sure!

If you're feeling aquatic, I highly recommend ProRec DiveCenter. They have the most skilled multilingual English-speaking instructors with the highest quality equipment (replaced regularly) and the cleanest air (since they fill their own tanks downstairs). They specialize in training other SCUBA instructors. I've gone on 10 dives with them so far. The prices are fair and all-inclusive. It's not the cheapest shop in town, but diving certainly isn't worth gambling with your life to save a few dollars. ?‍♀️ If you're not a diver yet, they also offer: snorkeling tours in Akumal where you might see sea turtles, snorkeling tours in cenotes (depending on the location, you may see crocs, coatis, and other wildlife), or a beginner fun dive to see if you enjoy SCUBA before taking a course.

Outstanding services. Julia was our cavern and cave guide. We were able to dive multiple caves with her and the experience couldn’t have been better. Highly recommend!

Highly recommended. Guides were very friendly and knowledgeable, and their operation follows best practices - cylinders analyzed, analyzed again, labeled, etc. Not all dive shops work this way, but Protec certainly felt like they were buttoned up and take diving and safety seriously. I wouldn't hesitate to dive with them again.

I had a VERY negative experience with Protec Tulum. The center was disorganized, conflicting information was provided, the wetsuits for rent were old and didn't have medium size available, the person that took me diving was extremely arrogant and staff at the shop unsolicited mentioned that Protec was going thru changes in management. Don't waste your money, time and efforts. They are overpriced and with so many other diving centers in Tulum, save yourself the nightmare and go somewhere else!

Top notch dive operation. Did some guided cave dives with Elliot and couldn’t be happier, I’ve been diving 12 years and these were the best of my career. Also did some open water diving with the wife and Arturo was patient and fun. Will be back.

One stop shop for everything on your dive trip. They transfered us down from their Playa location (our request to see different cave systems), gave us a personal tour, and set us up with our own gear lockers. Basecamp, the (hotel) rooms we stayed in are right above the shop with a communal mini kitchen and common area. Had some great guided dives, local food recommendations that were out of this world, and amazing service by all of the staff. Our transportation to the airport fell through the night before and these guys, from our amazing guide and friend Elliott, to the staff personally arranged getting us back to the cancun airport on time. Thanks Nelson!
