If you are looking for a place in an authentic Mexican neighborhood this is a very good option.

This is our second year with the Perez family. My wife Patricia and I began planing our long stays in Mexico in 2013 and Casa Delfin Azul was our first choice for a three month stay in 2014. Situated in Agua Azul, a typical neighbourhood in the north end of PV, the area has everything we need within a few blocks of the apartment: bus stop, groceries, pharmacy with a doctor on site, restaurants, street vendors, and more. This vibrant and friendly area has become our home away from home. If you want to experience Mexico away from the hotels and tourist zone, you won't be disappointed. The Malecon, Old Town, beaches, night life, and all PV has to offer is just a 15 to 20 minute bus ride away. Javier and Stephanie and their four children are the heart and soul of our positive experience here. They make us feel welcome and are always open to any questions we may have.

We are regulars in Vallarta, visiting over ten times over the past six years. We have now started spending complete months here, and Casa Delfín Azul is, by far, the best place we have been. Our last stay is from October 2020. Javier runs a spotless apartment building, with a small pool, air conditioning, and a great roof terrace to enjoy the afternoon breeze and see the sunset. He is the most responsive person, for anything you need, from apartment questions or issues, to help and advice around Vallarta and surroundings. This condo is in Colonia Agua Azul, which I'd describe as the outskirts of Puerto Vallarta, yet just ~20min walking from the beach and ~30min from El Malecón. We walk there daily in the evening. This area is working class Mexican, with small stores for daily needs (food, vegetables, mini-mart, pharmacy, a doctor office, and the red cross across the street). The 5 de diciembre market is 10min walking and brings fresh fruits, vegetables, fish, and meat daily. Most important for us is sleep quality... We are in a residential area, with essentially no noise. If you have been to downtown or any tourist hotel/resort, you'll quickly find out that party here goes late into the night. Lastly, we spend time in Vallarta for pleasure and work. Javier's condo is really great to chill out, and a perfect place for remote working. Internet here is faster than back home in California.

I have traveled to many countries and honestly, this is one of the best place I’ve ever stayed at! True mexican neighborhood, charming decor with great internet (just as good as Canada) and very clean but the best part are the people taking care of this place. Friendly, prompt and very helpful. They are attentive to your needs and they make sure your stay here is memorable. Don’t hesitate to rent here! Truly amazing!

Stayed there for 6 months working from home and had the greatest experience. Not only are the rooms clean, spacious, comfortable, and modern but management is beyond excellent. Any time something needed repair or a household item for cooking or cleaning was requested, it happened immediately. The building is a 20 minute walk to the ocean and during the rainy season there is a beautiful waterfall in the neighborhood about 4 blocks away. Also the view from the rooftop terrace is spectacular to say the least. Super satisfied and highly recommended!!!
