PUG SEAL OAXACA CITY - 68000 Oaxaca de Juárez

Starting with the reservation experience, continuing with all the help from Edwin recommending and booking a guide, restaurants, museums and ending with the day to day personal attention from Ita & Juan P, this small boutique hotel now ranks as one of the best lodging experiences I have ever had anywhere in the world. The location is excellent, our rooms were very clean, bedding was comfortable, the linens changed daily and everything worked perfectly. However, the highlight is the people that work there. I can't praise the staff enough. Everyone, from the front desk to the kitchen was always pleasant, friendly, helpful and bent over backwards to make our experience as good as it gets. When the COVID test kits we brought with us from the US turned out to be unworkable, they arranged a local doctor to come administer the tests required to return, including uploading the results to the airline website. The complementary breakfasts were always delicious, an excellent sample of classic Mexican breakfast dishes which our small group thoroughly enjoyed and again the service was ts impeccable. The courtyard is a peaceful space to sit down, enjoy a beverage and talk about the day's events even though the hotel is located close to the Zocalo, the best restaurants, museums, markets and other tourist attractions. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Will definitely stay here again in our next visit to Oaxaca.

Incredible staff. The rooms are quiet and beautifully decorated. Murals cover the walls and each room is named for the mural it's near. The breakfast is excellent every morning. The staff is always ready to help with anything you need and is very knowledgeable about the area with great recommendations. They treat you even better than family.

It was such a beautiful place! I had the pleasure of staying some nights with my partner and the hotel was just magical, especially at night, the lighting and the architecture was very impressive. When I had to work, I could just sit anywhere and it didn't feel like a hotel at all. Also, the location was great. It's in the downtown area and everything you'll love of the city is close by, we had time to just go walking to the most delicious restaurants.

We loved everything about this hotel....the location, the staff (Daniel, Isa, the young lady who only works 2 days/week and all the staff we encountered at the front desk and around the hotel). We’re business owners ourselves and wish we had amazing folks working for us like here at Pug Seal. Everyone has been super positive and helpful. The hotel itself is very beautiful and you do feel like you’re at home. You have free 24hrs access to soft drinks, teas, filtered water, fresh fruits and organic coffee. The mornings you get a wonderful breakfast that includes fresh juice, fruits and a main entree. We checked out other hotels while in town to compare and I’m so glad we picked Pug Seal. We love Oaxaca so much and anytime we come to visit, this will be our hotel. If I could give Pug Seal and their staff more than 10 stars I would. If you want to stay in a beautiful place with beautiful staff and in the best location, look no further than Pug Seal.

INCREDIBLE place! Perfect hotel.. inspiring, artistic & traditional grounds.. rich in history, art and a dozen (or more) nooks to relax, work or swing from, you can’t beat it. escape the heat of Oaxaca in this top notch establishment. I’ve stayed with them in CDMX and can’t say enough about this place and people. perfectly located in the heart of the city. From the room esthetics, comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms (ask for the bath kit if you take a room with bath!) delicious breakfasts and AMAZING staff - this is your home in Oaxaca ❤️

Pug Seal is a beautifully designed boutique hotel in the heart of Oaxaca City. Ita and the concierge team were incredibly helpful during our stay including booking cars, restaurant recommendations, nail salons, and even helped us booked a car after we left the hotel from San Jose del Pacifico to Mazunte. My only complaint about the hotel was our room Lluvia, located on the inner most part of the hotel on the ground floor. There were no windows to open for fresh air which made you feel claustrophobic and the room was very dark. Also, due to the nature of the communal / co-working nature of the hotel, privacy was limited as soon as you opened your hotel door, there was someone working or eating right in front of the room. I’d recommend booking something on the 2nd floor with access to open windows.

Very relaxing and beautiful vacation for me and my friend. We stayed last month and everything was fantastic. Staff was nice especially Raul who helped us and made sure everything was perfect during stay. Definitely recommend to anyone considering staying

Awesome hotel with great hospitality. My wife and I stayed in a pricier room for one night on a Friday in May. We didn’t have any issues with sound either in the room or in the common areas but that may vary by room location. The hotel is SO calm, the breakfast was amazing, and decor was great. We had no problem getting checked in as English speakers. The coffee shop next door also has some well curated items and snacks. It’s a cool place to chill and is close to a few nice print galleries. We will come back again!
