Last Tuesday we were lucky enough to see the legendary Conchita in action. This lady is an institution of good eating. It exudes good vibes and desire to feed whoever comes to its enclosure. My sister and I have enjoyed their seasoning about 5 times in two months. After two years of the pandemic and three without coming to Mexico, this place was one of the top places on my list of “garnachas to eat (if I survive).” I recommend that you try the green mole, but before you add sauce to it, take a bite, because it was spicy but delicious. I was left wanting to bring a bolillo for the romeritos. They taste good in a taco, but my habit is to eat them with bread. They had everything that romeritos demand: nopales, shrimp, potato, and a granny-textured mole. This matriarchy pampers you. It allows you to add cheese, nopales, potatoes, etc, to whatever you ask for, at no additional cost. At the end they just ask you how many things you packed. That's why I asked them to add nopales to the chili taco stuffed with cheese. That way you don't stay with the craving. I'm glad they already have an established location. Thank you for existing!
