Positive: Great location close to downtown Zacatecas. Negative: During our stay the hotel had a wedding. The wedding got loud music past 11PM. Afterwards the wedding guest continue yelling and being obnoxious everywhere across the hotel until 4 AM. If you go on the weekend to this hotel you are gonna get that.

The stay there was quite disappointing. There was a wedding during the weekend we were staying and we were leaving on Sunday morning. First the wedding blocked access to most of the hotel for the whole day. Second the wedding went on past 11PM with loud music. Last the wedding guests continue being drunk and obnoxious well past 4AM and the staff were not willing to interfere. All of this at a time when I had to be in the airport at 5AM. I will not recommend to go to this hotel on the weekends unless you are a wedding guest, which seems to be the only kind of guest they value.

We only ate at the restaurant. Nice, very nice place. The service was EXCELLENT! The decor and inside view was worth it. Walking distance from Cathedral.

Great location, beautiful colonial structure. Excellent and very polite employees. Our room and hotel were super clean. The maids are mature which I love, humble, respectful, very on point for anything you might need. The doorman was super polite, respectful, and attentive.

The "soft* furnishing in the rooms are worn out. The towels have strings hanging off them, the carpet is sculpted olive green - must be 30 years old. The carpet is dirty too. Spilled some water - I wiped it up, and the towel was filthly afterwards. We had a "Gran Clase Suite" - the Jacuzzi tub didn't work. When I turned it on - - it didn't do anything except make a sound like a freight train and produce a few bubbles. The staff upon checking in are in extremely good moods - afterwards - most of them are indifferent. The food in the restaurant is overpriced, inconsistent as well as the service. Worst shrimp cocktail I have ever had!!!! When you check out the front desk gets on a walk-talky to have hotel staff run to the room to see if you took anything from the mini bar which stocks expensive Grey Goose Vodka ( over 50 bucks.....and champagne, I think that was over 75 bucks....) luckily, they only questioned us about taking a Perrier - we didn't take one. We only took a Sprite which we had already reported. The public areas of this hotel are amazingly beautiful.. Unfortunately, their personnel who walk around in their little jackets and wear walk talkys are rude (I am not including the service personnel or restaurant waiters in that statement) and the upper-service personnel obviously do not know anything about how to treat guests with grace and style. Perhaps their mid-week low prices for such a facility attracts a level of customers the "management" regards suspiciously. My husband and I are retired teachers in our 70's. We have travelled all our lifes - a lot in Mexico - since we used to live in San Diego. Must say - - this was one over-rated experience and the hotel does not exude the charm and politeness one typically encounters in Mexico.

This was my first time stating at the Quinta Real Zacatecas. It has close access to great food places and convenience stores. It’s so close to El Centro. As far as the hotel itself, it’s immaculately clean, full of culture and they host art from local artists. The staff are polite and efficient from the concierge to the housekeeping personnel. I did not have any room service as it is somewhat overpriced, but that’s the case with every hotel. I was happy to know though they make special dietary accommodations. My only “complaint” would be to get rid of the carpet. It’s the only think that takes away from the beauty and clenliness of this beautiful place. Definitely the best I’ve stayed in Zac!

The hotel itself has a lot of history and is in a good part of town, right in front of a park and the famous aqueduct. The hotel was built in 1866 originally as a bullfighting ring which remains as the hotel courtyard. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, could use some updating. The bathroom was large and full of amenities.
