From the kind, FUNNY, welcoming, and knowledgeable owner and guides, to the stars of the ranch (horses of course!) everything and everyone was outstanding! The big bonus for us on top of the 5 star treatment was the fact all the animals were rescues!!! Adorable rescue dogs too! We will 100% be returning when we make it back to Mexico. Also, make sure to check out the gift shop area. They have adorable handmade jewelry with bits of the horses hair! It’s super cute and supporting rescue animals. What could be better?! Thank you so much for making our anniversary unforgettable and treating us like royalty!

I was able to set up a cheese fruit and wine plate in the middle of our ride, as a surprise to my wife. It was a complete hit. She loved it! So fun and professional. Will do it again. Oh and the horses are sweet as can be.

This place is 100% rescued animals that are well cared for and looked after. Thimmiah, Marie and Trino made for the best experience for our honeymoon stop. Thimmiah with his great story telling and personable attitude, Marie with her warm welcoming, AMAZING pico de gallo and hospitality, and Trino with his deep love for horses and animals. I can’t say enough good things about this place. This is the place to ride in Playa. BOOK IT NOW!!!!! You will not be sorry!

One’s immediate impression is the care Lisa and her team provide for each horse. The comfort and health of their beautiful herd is first and foremost. Each of the guides has an extensive knowledge of each mount which is shared as you experience the joy of riding. The trails vary based upon the capabilities of each patron as well as the matching of horse to rider. We highly recommend Rancho Baaxal and confirm that it is definitely worth the drive.

They rescue horses and train them for the tours. It looks like they are well treated and have a nice live there. We felt well prepared and save on the horses. Also while riding through the jungle Tim (one of the guides) told us a bit more story of the paths etc. It was totally worth the money and I would recommend it 100%

My wife, two kids and I today went today on a horseback ride with Rancho Baaxal with Marie and Thimmiah and could not have been more pleased. The care and attention they show their horses who are all rescue horses cannot be described in words - they can only be experienced. And the horses respond with listening and following their cues which are simple commands. Both guides were also patient instructors. L	L A.S on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a really lovely day at Rancho Baaxal! All of the horses are rescues and they are so good natured they are obviously well looked after. We had a nice trek through the jungle and were given lots of local information by the guides. We also had a picnic in the jungle which was amazing! We were recommended to come here by a friend and I would definitely recommend it as well! (P.S. There are also a lot of super friendly dogs to play with and a gift shop ?)
