We breed this breed in the first place because it is a Mexican breed, because it is a dual purpose race (meat and milk), very early and is a breed that likes very much for its colors. They are very early animals, there are females of 15 or 16 months cycling for riding or insemination and there are calves that at eight months at weaning reach up to 270 kg in weight. My experience is that compared to other races I see much more resistance in terms of ticks, heat and humidity.
