AMAZING!!!! Five stars isn’t enough to describe the wonderful people and service at Rancho Xotolar. From the moment we were picked up to the moment we were dropped off at home the service was increíble. My sister took sandles and they offered her a pair boots. My little sister didn’t have much experience but they were patience, compassionate and also trained her along the way. After our Amazing horseback’s ride they treated us to a delicious authentic Mexican home made dinner. Rancho Xotolar beats any other location to horseback ride. I highly recommend them. You won’t regret it!!! The views are incredible!

Very beautiful tour the scenery was breathtaking the vaqueros very experience and helpful cant say enough its something ill remember all my life.

There are not enough superlatives to describe this memorable experience, you will not be disappointed. My boyfriend and I booked the afternoon sunset ride and dinner at the rancho and we are keen to return for all of the activities they offer (full day ride, overnight camping, cooking class). Gustavo, his father Felix and cousin, Roberto lead us through their land, down to the canyon with many fun opportunities to cantor on the horses. Ultimately reaching a local tienda for a perfectly refreshing cerveza before heading back to the ranch. The sun dropped just behind the range on the horizon as we returned, a perfect setting. Dinner, cooked by Gustavo’s aunt was waiting for us. Hand made sopes over a wood burning stove, pico de gallo from cactus fruit, the best salsa you’ll ever have (they should really bottle and sell this stuff), beans, rice, and we opted to have both the Chile relleno (WOW) and enchilada (also WOW). But of course the star dish was the freshly made (as in that morning) cheese from their cows ? Of our 7 weeks staying in San Miguel this was by far one of our favorite experiences and one we wish to share with friends and family in trips to come.

Best experience we had in Mexico by far. Tomas and his family generously welcomed us into their home. Wonderful people, gorgeous horseback riding and the best Mexican food I’ve ever had!

We have been to Rancho Xotolar many times. First in 2018 and then several times in 2020. The Marin family has years of experience. They use their own horses and they of course know them well. Tomas, Félix, María Teresa, María Luisa, Leo and more. They work really hard to make your day on horses very special. The food is the best we have and San Miguel with Farm to table corn and beans and vegetables. They even make the cheese that they serve. Their enchiladas are legendary. Tomás will also take you on a walk around the Ranch teaching you about the different fruits and vegetables that grow on the Ranch. It’s fascinating! The am setting is incredible. My husband had a wonderful all day ride with the team at Rancho Xotolar as well. Love this place! Love the family.

I felt very safe here and with great company. A huge thank you to the family. Everyone was very kind and accommodating. A stunning horseback riding adventure and gorgeous views. Horses and equipment were well maintained. I enjoyed the home-cooked meal it and the singing. I felt welcomed and loved. The best part was the trial and nature's elements and being around great people. Also, I loved how we got to close our eyes and meditate while the horses moved us. Indeed unique experience words don’t even come close. Thank you very much. Horseback riding is a must-do event, and next time I would try their tent camping option. I wish I would have done it.
