★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm a Chef. Been visiting Penasco for 30 years. This is the first time I've had Ray's Pizza. I have always eaten Shakey's pizza, it's good. I am now a fan of Ray's Pizza. Please try it when you visit Penasco. He appreciates the business. Ray is a good Chef!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am more than a little surprised with the review. We were headed to a different restaurant and saw they had mixed reviews so we re routed based on the google reviews. This location is on a dirt, trash strewn street. The AC was out, no customers inside, and the proprietor was sitting outside to cool off in the 90 degree shade.
We wound up just eating snacks we had in the car for lunch due to the unfortunate decision to attempt finding a diamond in the rough outside the hotel zone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ray and his son make some of the best pizza in Puerto Pensaco. I try to get it every time I’m in town. They are great folks with great service and food at a reasonable price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A friend who lives close to Ray's told me about this Pizza place called Rays Brick oven Pizza. I stopped by and for 130 pesos for a 16" cheese pie, he served me some great great pizza, 20 pesos more for toppings. The owner speaks English and worked in some of the good Italian restaurants in Phx. It's located on a dirt street, the place was clean. It will surprise you. Highly recommended

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent pizza for the price - comes out to under $10 for a large, and it’s good. Ray is super nice and you’ll see part of the city you don’t often see. Worth the drive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ray's Pizza was fantastic. What a find. It is located in a residential neighborhood off the beaten path, but totally worth the trip. Ray, who worked in the Phoenix area for 15 plus years at spots including Tomasos, built his own wood fired oven, and it puts out great pizza. It is definitely a no frills establishment, but the prep area is clean and the ingredients are fresh. We ordered a pepperoni, vegetarian, and cheese pizza, and they were all excellent. We will definitely be back every time we visit. A 14" pizza was $6. Can't beat it. I expect Ray will be in a bigger spot very soon.
