Susana López (México, 1980), arquitecta con Maestría en Diseño y Desarrollo Sustentable para la Ciudad por el Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, su formación profesional la ha complementado con estudios en arte y filosofía en institutos nacionales e internacionales. Fundó en el 2010 RED Arquitectos, plataforma donde desarrolla proyectos de arquitectura y urbanismo en diferentes partes del país como Veracruz, Puebla, Quintana Roo y Baja California Sur, entre otros.
Su práctica se caracteriza por un profundo entendimiento del contexto en diálogo con las necesidades del sitio, del cliente y los futuros usuarios del espacio. Los proyectos que ha realizado son diversos en escala, tipología y estrategia de solución, varían desde proyectos de rehabilitación e intervención de edificaciones con valor patrimonial, hasta obra nueva en espacios abandonados y locaciones naturales remotas. Trabaja con intenciones de manera personalizada apostando por la empatía y la honestidad en propuesta de diseño.
Es docente de Arquitectura, Diseño Industrial y Textil, ha sido conferencista en diversas universidades y sus proyectos se han publicado en medios nacionales e internacionales. La firma ha sido reconocida con premios y diplomas, como el primer lugar que obtuvo en el Premio Cemex Tec 2012 con el proyecto de Huertos Urbanos para la Alcaldía de Iztapalapa en la Ciudad de México y obtuvo la mención de honor en el concurso Innovative Mind Internacional.

Susana López (Mexico, 1980), architect with a Master's Degree in Sustainable Design and Development for the City from the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, her professional training has been complemented with studies in art and philosophy at national and international institutes. She founded RED Arquitectos in 2010, a platform where she develops architecture and urban planning projects in different parts of the country such as Veracruz, Puebla, Quintana Roo and Baja California Sur, among others.
Her practice it’s characterized by a deep understanding of the context in dialogue with the needs of the site, the client and the future users of the space. The projects that she has carried out are diverse in scale, typology and solution strategy, ranging from rehabilitation projects and intervention of buildings with heritage value, to new construction in abandoned spaces and remote natural locations. She works with intentions in a personalized way, betting on empathy and honesty in the design proposal.
Susana is teacher of Architecture, Industrial Design and Textile, has been a lecturer at various universities and her projects have been published in national and international media. The firm has been recognized with awards and diplomas, such as the first place she obtained in the 2012 Cemex Tec Award with the Urban Gardens project for the Mayor of Iztapalapa in Mexico City and obtained the honorable mention in n the competition of the Innovative Mind International.
