Reina Roja Hotel - 77710 Playa del Carmen

A lot of huge cucarachas in the room! In the bottom of the shower! They stole pictures from Mexico city and did not return! Terrible place! No stars! At all!!!

Good location in Playa just off 5th but not as noisy . Industrial look, quite fun but need a bit of TLC . Good wifi everywhere and spacious bathrooms but water pressure sometimes is no existent. Here with friends and RR is a good base

They double charged the same 1 customer for the same room and refused to do a refund. The manager was a complete jerk. We showed proof of double charge for the identical room and he absolutely did not care. The hotel is nice enough but if these people can screw you, they will.

Definitely an adult hotel. Parties, especially over the weekend, are sometimes held all night long. However, the hotel is recommendable. Very sylish, good breakfast buffet and pleasant service. I recommend it for party people.

Nice location!! I got the package breakfast and beer included which it was pretty decent. You only get one key per room. It was raining for two days and the roof was leaking water

Oh God, if I could, I would give it -5. Our room key didn’t work so we had to go up and down over 20 times in our 5 days stay (as if that’s something that cannot be fixed or replaced). We got the room on the side of the hotel that’s close to Senor Frogs and it’s impossible to fall asleep before 2 am, which is when they stop with “music”. Once we complained at the reception they told us, and I quote: we thought you won’t mind, most of our guests don’t come back to the hotel in the evening before 2 anyways, they’re all party goers. Insane. We got a different room, where the bathroom smelled so freaking bad, man, it was insane. All in all, hotel has a nice concept but no one’s taking care of it, management is doing a horrible job, it looks way older than it is. Also, most employees were quite rude to us, like every time I asked to open the garage for us, the guy at the reception would roll his eyes, crazy. It was a very very VERY disappointing experience. stay away from this place

It's okay but trashy, if you're on a budget. Front desk is rude - everytime you ask for a key they will give you a replacement that doesn't work so you have to go down twice, or 3 times. Kinda smells like mold in the room. You can hear everything in the halls. Expensive resort fee for a bad breakfast and beer, but only for 2 people per room.

Loved my stay here. It delivered the experience needed for my time in Playa. I heard about what to expect but this place delivered way more. Staff was very accommodating, and such a friendly bunches of people. Daily breakfast and open bar added to my overall experience. No to mention the rooftop pool and the occasional exceptional DJ stepping up to play a day set. Everything about my room was perfect, ignore the loud music outside till late hours that was expected. I found myself unbothered throughout my stay and when in need accommodated. I would gladly stay here again. It made my trip.
