★ ★ ★ ★ ★ El relleno sanitario de Calkiní, una de las mejores decisiones tomadas, ya que el antiguo basurero se encontraba ya dentro de la mancha urbana, representando un foco de contaminación y mala imágen, ya que se encuentraba a orillas de la carretera calkiní-nunkini y siempre se quemaba, lanzando mucho humo hacia la ciudad. Con este nuevo relleno, esos problemas quedaron atrás, ya que está bastante distante y el tiradero de basura es más controlado
