The coffee is hot, the food is delicious (especially the cinnamon rolls!!) and the the staff is phenomenal. The management here does a good job being clean and mitigating the spread of Covid. I highly recommend dining here.

Vincente is my favorite and the best waiter. I get the same thing every time Mexican eggs and complimentary nachos.

Upon our arrival we were greated by the restaurant manager and quickly seated. Our server welcomed us and brought us a serving of complimentary nachos, & assorted salsas. We decided to sample the California Tacos, which most of us know as Flautas and the Beef Milanesa. Both plates came accompanied with a side salad, refried beans, Spanish rice, and French fries. The California Tacos also came with a side of guacamole. I will tell you that the serving of the Milanesa was humongous. I only ate half a portion and decided to take the other half to go. The refried beans and the rice were full of flavor. Our server was attentive to our needs and came every now and then to check up.on us. Definitely this restaurant is highly recommended for its delicious food, great ambiance, and outstanding customer service.

Visited Rene's for the first time during breakfast time. The place was packed as the city was celebrating Tourism Day. Despite the restaurant being packed, service was excellent, the food was delivered quickly and it was delicious. I ordered a taco of machacado con guevo. The wait staff was very friendly and took our order quickly. Very impressed how good the food was and ability to serve despite being packed.

This was my first food experience in Nuevo Progreso. I am glad we walked into this place! To start, we were given totopos (nacho chips) with cream, American cheese, and shredded White Queso. It was delicious! These are on the house, as starters. While I waited for my food, I ordered a Michelada with Cerveza Indio. It was dressed with cucumber, green olives, and chamoy. It was so refreshing, and tasted great! I tried the TAMPIQUEÑA plate as an entrée. It was well-portioned with a very cheesy quesadilla, two chicken enchiladas, beef, rice, refried beans, french fries, and avocado. I loved it!

There are plenty of places to eat when visiting this side of the border. However, if looking for breakfast, … look no more. Great tasting food served efficiently. Portions are large. And! You can grab your pan dulce and take it to go. Their pan dulce was not the best we have had. Hence the 4 stars.

Fajitas!! Yup..these guys have great fajitas and the salsas are a perfect touch for the tacos. Distilled Water Gallons for the Coffee brought out the aroma and taste just right. Service was fast but with just the right amount of come back again feel. Great place for friends and family to have a meal and just enjoy.
