★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been here twice once with my mom and once with a friend and both times Riu Palace Peninsula has come through with 5-stars. Both times I stayed in the VIP section (adults only). I love this hotel so much I would love to stay here every time I come. The staff is excellent and has amazing customer service. They have several restaurants and the food is delicious. The hotel is positioned right next to the Ferry for Isla Mujeres (BONUS!). Across the street you can do a jungle speed boat tour (highly recommend). They have nightly entertainment and the drinks flow freely :).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My experience while at the resort was great. We ran out of things do!! However I left pictures at the hotel and the people at the front desk were no help when trying to retrieve them. Then when I returned home I had the runssss for about a week I'm still not sure what I have but I would recommend not drinking the water unless it's bottled. You would think an all inclusive resort would have purified water but they don't so DO NOT DRINK THE WATER OR ICE!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was the worst body massage and facial I've ever had. I paid US $184 for the luminous facial, which It wasn't very pleasant. A therapist cleansed my face and masked on, and that was it. Beware of this spa. I love the resort, but the spa experience was horrible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Paid 230$ for a couple moonlight sunlight massage. We got there at 5:20pm just to be told that the spa closes at 6pm, even though it said 7pm on the website — this makes no sense as the sunlight is later in the evening, so why would the spa close so early??? We were told they can do nothing about it and that we should try to get our money back ourselves — no help or assistance offered by the receptionist at the Renovo Peninsula Hotel. Horrible customer service overall. Do not recommend at all — especially given the prices.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly unprofessional and poor customer service! They charged me for a 60 min instead of a 30min massage. When I spoke to the manager she had no resolution that would accommodate me and nothing world be resolved in a timely manner. Andrea needs to be retrained with her guest service skills and conflict/ guest resolution! I have a flight tomorrow and the extra money taken has messed with my return back to the states! I would not recommend this location. My stay at the Riu cancun has not been that impressive but this experience at this spa has left such a bad taste, id do not plan on returning to either location. My massage wasn't even a full hour.
