Es de reconocer que después de muchos años de lucha, el Gobierno del Estado haya sumado esfuerzos con la comunidad y sus habitantes para proteger 10,574 hectáreas de alta diversidad biológica.
The Protected Natural Area San Felipe II, represents the last bastion of evergreen high evergreen forest. Jaguar habitat, Tapir, spider monkey, howler monkey, toucans, among others. It is to be recognized that after many years of struggle, the State Government has joined efforts with the community and its inhabitants to protect 10,574 hectares of high biological diversity.

Además adentrarse en esta selva encontramos retos con sitios de pendientes poco accesibles. Es un gran privilegio y una hermosa experiencia recorrer este hermoso lugar. Los lugareños gozan de este gran privilegio de vivir rodeados de una vasta extensión de la naturaleza. Sumando grandes esfuerzos tanto locales como estatales han logrado decretarlo como un área natural protegida para su preservación. Ojalá siempre se le de importancia en cuidar lugares como este.
