Una Reserva Ecológica es una porción de terreno de cualquier superficie de propiedad privada, manejada para la conservación de la biodiversidad y/o el uso sustentable de sus valores naturales.

Nace del interés y la voluntad de los propietarios por proteger los recursos naturales que albergan sus tierras, así como el enfoque de reforestación para el Bosque Mesófilo de Montaña en la región.

El Bosque Mesófilo de Montaña reconocido por su gran biodiversidad está dominado por árboles en varios estratos abundancia de helechos arborescentes temecates, y epífitas sobre todo bromeliáceas y orquídeas.

Suele desarrollarse en las zonas de condensación del aire húmedo donde se forman densos macizos de nubes con una consecuente alta humedad y una precipitación pluvial.

Nos apegamos a lineamientos creados por el Ordenamiento Territorial de Cuetzalan.

En el caso para fines de recreación, conservación, observación y hospedaje.

Ningún lugar en la zona te ofrece la diversidad que tienen dentro de su propiedad. A paradise, a nature reserve with all the excellent services, I will return with the whole family, so they include you in the cost, it is very attractive. No place in the area offers you the diversity that they have within their property.
D	Damián Villaseñor Amador on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Soy un biólogo miembro de la organización Conservación de Anfibios AC que fue a buscar salamandras en la reserva. ¡Es el lugar donde más salamandras hemos encontrado! Y no sólo cualquier salamandra: fue la salamandra de Cuetzalan, una especie endémica de Cuetzalan (no se encuentra en ningún otro lugar del mundo) y está en peligro crítico de extinción. El que se hayan encontrado tantas en la reserva, habla de que Villas Cuetzalan es un lugar muy bien conservado y sus dueños son muy responsables con el medio ambiente. Además el servicio y la comida son excelentes (hasta me comí la hoja santa que se usa como cama para los tlayoyos).
K	Karen González on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ En otras ocasiones nos hemos hospedado en estas cabañas hermoso lugar ( por la vegetación) , en esta ocasión horrible servicio , almohada sucias pedimos que las cambiarán (negras y olían muy mal ), en la cama encontramos una pulga , un tipo llamado Eduardo nos trato pésimo ,trataba con desprecio , mientras los chicos jasiel ,Luis y otro chico ,eran muy amables. On other occasions we have stayed in these cabins, beautiful place (because of the vegetation), on this occasion horrible service, dirty pillows we asked to change them (black and smelled very bad), in the bed we found a flea, a guy named Eduardo treated us Terrible, he treated with contempt, while the boys Jasiel, Luis and another boy, were very kind.

Esta reserva está perfectamente conservada, y procuran que nuestra estadía como huéspedes no interfiera en el desarrollo de los organismos de la zona. Las villas son muy cómodas, todo muy limpio. En el restaurante la comida es deliciosa. El guía que nos tocó para el recorrido que incluyen está muy bien preparado, y todo el personal es muy amable y atento. Sin duda, un lugar perfecto para descansar del antropocentrismo y disfrutar de la naturaleza. It is a beautiful place. All immersed in complete nature. This reserve is perfectly preserved, and they ensure that our stay as guests does not interfere with the development of organisms in the area. The villas are very comfortable, all very clean. In the restaurant the food is delicious. The guide that we had for the included tour is very well prepared, and all the staff are very friendly and attentive. Without a doubt, a perfect place to rest from anthropocentrism and enjoy nature.

We were so impressed with the care and attention that Eduardo and his family show towards their guests. This is such a beautiful setting, the owners have put their soul and love into this place, and it shows ! Our villa was #3 - what a majestic view and cozy surroundings. If you're looking for a special place, something you'll remember as the vacation you'd love to relive over and over; this is it. We're looking forward to the next time !
G	Gabriel Padilla on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A magical place to spend a couple of nights or even more. We came in September, rain season, and it's beautiful. The villas are placed far away from each other so the only things you hear are the sounds of nature.
J	Joe the Guide on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a really beautiful place with only 8 cabins (cabin no. 8 has a jacuzzi) which have a fireplace and are in very good condition. There is also a place for BBQ and a small library (picture). The highlight is the guided hiking tour which we did the following day from 10 until 12 AM (6km). For first part of the path is quite easy, for the second one you really need hiking boots with good grip. Another highlight for me as early bird was the sunrise. The reason why I only gave 4 stars is the price. We paid 2000 MXN for one night for 2 persons (maybe you also pay 2000 MXN for 4 persons since there was another room with another bed in our cabin) which includes a small breakfast (Coffee, small fruit salad, a sweet roll). If you want more you can order sth from the menu. Nevertheless I would recommend it if you have the money for it.
