A bit overpriced and the service was kind of laid back and slow, but hey if you're on vacation, what's the hurry? The setting with a beach view was the best part followed by the tasty food.

Came for the Chile Rellenos on the recommendation of my hosts... and glad I did. Unusual in that they are made from dried chiles, and delicious because of it! The salad my friend ordered looked fantas6as well. The setting is beautiful and the service was excellent. (Though we were there at a slower hour of day.) Loved their La Negra sauce so much I grabbed two bottles to bring home when I saw them in a grocery store.

Great location and awesome service. Beach has a few pebbles so wear scuba shoes. Great location for paddle boarding and the food is amazing also. Prices are great .

We stepped into the restaurant seeking to rent surf boards and had a fantastic time surfing and at the restaurant. George manages the board rental and charges a competitive rate (more expensive than Sayulita but cheaper than any beach front rental place we could find). George is also the greatest, really laid back and relaxed, and fun to chat with. We rented long boards which worked well in the small waves we had on this day and swapped these for SUPs later in the day when the tide hit low-water and the waves dropped a little. The waves here are perfect for beginners, slow enough to prove plenty of time when popping up and an easy paddle out. We found the best waves were 100m west towards the headland (away from Puerta Vallarta) in front of the Hacienda de Mita apartments, but stay in front of the east side (closest to George’s place/PV end) as the water can get quite shallow - no one wants to land on a rock! Look for the surf schools and hang out with them, the surf guides we spoke to were all legends (Hob and Issac). George’s wife Laura gives massages on the beach to the sounds of the waves, and to quote my girlfriend: “the greatest massage I’ve had in my life!” - photo of Laura’s card below. The restaurant food is good and makes very good margs. Javier working there is a softly spoken and great chap who is really attentive. Also say hi to a young guy called Angel waking the playa selling silver trinkets. The goods are the usual however Angel is so funny (should be doing stand up) and lots of fun to chat with.

JC One Liner Review: Amazing lobster for a cheap price. After the hidden beach tour, we walked around Punta Mita and stumbled upon this place. We were hungry and ordered the whole lobster and a few tacos. The lobster was barbecued perfectly and there was so much meat. The restaurant faces the ocean in front and provides an exceptional view. Ambience - Outdoor seating with a bungalow looking roof Service - It was ok Pricing - Probably expensive for locals but as a tourist from the U.S., definitely on the cheaper end. One pina colada, a whole lobster, a few tacos were around $37 in USD. Tips: Enjoy the view and rest well

Been in Mita a long time. There are lots of places to eat. Many are overpriced and the food is just meh. El Rocio is the exception. Family owned and operated it features beachfront tables where you can kick off your flip flops and put your feet in the sand. The seafood is tastefully prepared and freshly caught daily, where most places offer frozen. The portions are generous and the prices unbeatable for the quality of food. You can't go wrong here. Highly recommend over the more tourist trap style restaurants that are common on the strip.

A must go chill out spot on the beach in Punta Mita. Get a lounge chair and umbrella and make a day of it. You can rent paddle boards and get a bucket of beer and a fish and call it an excellent day!

The finest Margarita on the strip. This restaurant is right on the beach Great friendly staff. Nice restrooms. Bye the way... Say hello to Pedro who is old and comes to work here from PV on the bus and back every day. There is no pension in Mexico so he has to work. Despite his age he is a great waiter, and a lovely man.
