Excelente lugar, no dejen de probar el buche de pescado.

Lamentablemente no había camarón de roca ni buche de pescado, por el que fui a comer.

Excelente un lugar sencillo pero agradable y lo mejor las Botanas de mariscos

La comida es variada y rica pero a veces te la sirven con mal trato y eso lo afecta

Probamos el pulpo al ajillo y camarones al mojo de ajo el precio fue muy accesible y el servicio muy muy rápido, la comida fue exquisita y puedo decir que es el mejor en toda la ciudad. Lo recomiendo 100%

This is a great little spot that the average american probably wouldn't enjoy, but their market is locals not tourists. Their main market is middle to lower income class, but their dishes are good enough that at times I've seen some wealthier people eating there, which is saying A LOT! A brief history. Originally they were located on a different part of town, with a different name "El camaron ambulante". They became very popular with taxi and van drivers. The owner of the building offered to partner up with them, but basically they just wanted to steal their recipes and push them out. They ended parting ways shortly after. I did visit the original place once after ownership had changed and the difference was drastic. The original owners decided to open up to new locations, but one didn't work out, so now there is only one left. "El Camaron de Roca" is the name displayed in the building, not sure why here on the reviews it shows as Rest La Rocs. Their signature dish is rock shrimp (Camaron de Roca). That one is caught in the area so it is usually fresh never frozen. One of my favorite dishes there is their "buche", which is basically large fish tripe. A few people go in there and order dishes from the menu, things like fish fillet, ceviches, shrimp cocktails, fried fish, etc. But most of us go ther for their tapas. Basically for each drink you order they bring out little plates with food, similar to the Spaniard tapas. The more drinks you order, the more food they bring out. When they first started all their tapas were some sorth of seafood dish, but seems now they are cutting costs and many of their tapas are vegetables. At first I was a bit disappointed but even their vegetables tapas are very good. The current location is not in a bad part of town, but it is tucked away in an area that is a bit difficult to find. It does look like a getho type restaurant, which is the main reason I feel the average american would be turned off. You can look into the kitchen as you walk in, and I am confident there is NO WAY they would pass a regular USA inspection. None of the staff speaks english. The only tourists I've ever seen there are the ones I've taken myself. Usually they only have XX and Tecate Light available. They do make a good Michelada mix. Their mixed drink are ok at best. I give it a 5 start review because I am a huge fan of their food, but I can totally understand why someone would refuse to eat anything coming out of that kitchen.
