Along the route from Merida to Churburná to go kayaking we stopped off here to have lunch. This restaurant is in a perfect sot just off the highway. There is parking inside the property. The place seemed to be always full of people which is always a good sign. They serve a nice variety of appetizers and main dishes...of course all seafood. I tasted three kinds of cevicé and then the fried fish for my main course. All four were delicious. I would definitely suggest you stop here if you find yourself near Progreso, Chelem or definitely on the way to Churburná!

Brisa y Arena really lives up to its name. Breezes and sand are well represented.. it's not a fancy place and the food is simple, but it's also ample and usually quite good. You can get ceviches, all kinds of fish entrees, and drink a cold beer or a gorgeous jamaica under their beautiful palapa top. It's a family place, with two small pools. Families come and let the children swim while they eat and talk and drink..Adults swim, too. An average entree costs about $7 USD, you could not get anything like this for $7 in the US. There's a fairly wide selection of beer, we had ice cold Sol. Perfect for a warm day in the Yucatan. This place is in Chuburna, just a stone's to the aqua blue/green gulf waters. Like many restaurants by the beach, wherever you go on the beach, sometimes the quality varies, but you will find that this place almost always wins.

Basic but clean and delicious! The fried fish is a revelation. Service is good and the space allows for adequate social distancing. Prices are moderate for the location and the experience overdelivers.

Favorite local spot to walk to after a day at the beach!! We bring our dogs here and they share a plain fish filet and we get the fried fish and fries. Fresh and delicious!! They also have a pretty big pool!
