Tardan mucho en llevar tus platillos a la.mesa xq los preparan al momento. Su sabor está bien! Si tienes mucha hambre NO es el lugar correcto!
They take a long time to bring your dishes to the table because they prepare them at the moment. Its taste is fine! If you are very hungry this is NOT the right place!

El ambiente es muy tranquilo así que se come a gusto, los platillos son grandes en cuanto al saber están bien. El único detalle, es que tienen personal que es cero amable.
The atmosphere is very calm so you can eat at ease, the dishes are great in terms of knowing they are good. The only detail is that they have staff that is zero friendly.

Bajo mucho su calidad en atención y sabor de comida y el precio algo elevado para el tamaño de la comida
Its quality of service and taste of food is very low, and the price is somewhat high for the size of the food.

It has been probably around 5 years since I last visited this restaurant so chances are a lot of things have changed. It is probably one of the most famous restaurants in the Temascaltepec area and specializes in dishes that are seldom sold elsewhere such as rabbit, trout or quail meat. And yes, I have eaten all three dishes everytime I came here over the years. Sadly I never took photos of my dishes. They can either cook the meat in an oven in aluminium foil with butter, garlic or chipotle chile or serve them deep fried. I personally likes the garlic & butter topping because the meat is served juicy instead of dry. The other cuisine highlight of the restaurant is the nice selection of fruit juices and café de olla where they cook local coffee in clay pots which has a bit of a mild flavor. They serve their olla coffee roasting hot. For people that don't want to wait up to 40 minutes for their coffee, they can also serve normal instant coffee which is self served. Decoration is sort of kitschy with photos of old mexican cinema adorning the walls. They sell ponchos for around 350 mxn and also handcraft organic honey in case a visitor wants to buy gifts. The place seems to be family oriented but since I always visited it during weekdays real early, the place was always empty. I think the only real downside of the restaurant is the slow service. Hard to believe a place with several waiters and no clients would take over 20 minutes to give you the check (that you end up paying at the cash register anyways). If you are not in a rush, I guess this will be no big deal, but service was notably slow here pretty much everytime I visited it. This is a cash only restaurant so if you don't have at at least 100 pesos per person, better go to the nearby town's ATMs for cash before coming here. If you are not in a rush to get served quickly, the food is still quite worth it.
