★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most economical buffet in the center of Oaxaca.
It isn't the finest place, nor is the selection very large, but if cheap nutrition is on your mind then this is a great stop to make frequently.
The offering changes frequently, so if you have an appetite like mine you can stay for an hour on a busy day and watch the entrees change a few times.
Downside: each time I've been here I've seen at least one vegetable that wasn't up to my relaxed standards for presentability. So don't count on nice lettuce for example. It might be fine, but just as likely not pretty.
I recommend their local stewed (meat) dishes: though i just go for the delicious broth and add it to beans.
Make sure to get their handmade corn tortillas and consider a table near the comal in the back if you like a quieter spot. There is one tv in the noisy front room.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very cheap but good AYCE buffet (50 pesos) that has brekkie until noon and lunch until 5pm. The selection is a little smaller than the buffet next door (also 50 pesos). You pay when you leave and it's cash only. Sit in the back to avoid the street noise and the loud TV.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We happened to be walking by and saw locals eating here so in we went for breakfast. The buffet selection was good and the flavors were awesome, I really enjoyed the rahas.
Oh and you cant beat the price.
We paid triple for a breakfast for two at the hotel restaurants we had been eating at prior to finding this place.
Definitely recommend it if you ever find yourself roaming the streets of Oaxaca.
