★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Average food at best and tried to charge us tourist prices. Even our local guide looked embarrassed when he saw the $40 bill for a basic meal. If you like being taken advantage of, this place will satisfy that need.
Hygiene questionable based on bathrooms and a glance in the kitchen. Gains a star as the salsa picante was very good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is delicious, and has a great local feel. They do not have a menu with prices. After we ordered Poc Chuc (which is what you eat in Yucutan), the owner looked at us, and I overheard him clearly tell the wait staff to add a zero to some portion of our check. The waiter chuckled and brought us over a $75 bill for 3 plates, tortillas, and 3 beers. It ended up being the most expensive meal we ate in Mexico. They do not take tarjeta or US$ either.
