★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I only will give to this 4 stars because there are people selling stuff around the planters and one guy came at my table asking for money, obviously it's annoying.
The food is ok and so the price. Probably the only cool thing about this place is that you can see the cathedral while you're eating.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ perfect location to have lunch and a cold drink. this restaurant is in the middle of the plaza with great views of the church and other beautiful architecture. It's more expensive than going to a small place a few blocks away, but it's not outrageous and the quality I'd great.
This is a great people watching place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good location, mediocre food, slow service and terrible coffee.
Pros:
- Central location right in front of the main cathedral. The tables are in the open air which adds a nice vibe.
Cons:
- Coffee was probably the worst we've had in all of Mexico (we've tried ~16 places across Mexico city, Guanajuato and Guadalajara). We ordered cortados and got something extremely bitter with a bunch of foam on top (one of the coffees also had something weird and yellow).
- Extremely slow service. They looked understaffed and our server would disappear for a while after each contact. They also got one order wrong and had to fix it 10 minutes after the first order arrived.
- Food was very mediocre. No real taste in there.
- Prices were not too expensive, but definitely on the higher side (especially given the food quality).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The service was OK, they were slow but really kind. This place was also the only available one cause most of the places were on repairs, we order some food and drinks and everything was really tasty, also the view was perfect.

I ate here a number of times during my week in Guadalajara. Service was always welcoming and friendly. Food was also of a consistently good standard.
Prices, too, are fair, given the fact that Las Sombrillas is set in a main square, right next to Guadalajara cathedral.
