★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant has hands down the best, most authentic and well prepared food in town! My family is eating here for the 4th night of 7 nights, tomorrow. Truly a culinary treat! Our family travels frequently and this loving and sweet place has delicious food that should not be missed!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Access is off main Street in a quieter part of town. Greeted with the aromas if home cooked food, I took a seat in the open area of the restaurant. Smiling wait staff greeted me as I was served. The buffet is a breakfast deal and you can also short order. The nopales salad, the appetizers, and meat/cheese dish were savory with smoky mild undertones. All excellent. The ambiance is open casual and populated with more locals than tourists. The black beans...on anything were beyond delicious. Taxi over - if you drive, the parking is open street. Good for families and large groups. Very reasonable, clean, friendly, and professional. Def. Going back :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very quiet away from main traffic noise. Covered seating but with open 1/2 walls so breeze can flow through. Excellent service and extensive menu. Mexican cuisine lightly prepared and filling!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's the place I always go for tamales, the best pineapple/coconut and from time to time, they have chocolate, my second best option. All other dishes are also very good, have had eggs different styles and would generally go for the daily menu ( full meal for $60-70 pesos) really nice. It is the home cooked place that you go to for comfort food, and that is why I only give them 4 stars, as some people may expect a different menu and 5 stars would be misleading. However, if you're up for real Mexican food, with spicy and smoked flavors and some traditional dishes, then this is the place. Cost wise is affordable, have never had a meal with drinks, so good would be around $180-250 per person.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Owner was closed for a private party. My friend was leaving the next day and we really wanted to dine on the chile rellanos...He opened the gate and invited us in. The meal was great. Would definitely recommend. The Margaritas not so much...made with sparkling water. I would skip those.
