Visita Janitzio.
La isla más famosa de las siete que se encuentran en el lago de Pátzcuaro, durante el trayecto a ella verás una representación, casi como si fuera una danza, de la pesca que se hacía antiguamente. El 1 de noviembre la gente enciende cirios para recordar a sus muertos, logrando que se ilumine toda la isla al grado de verla desde la otra orilla. Te recomendamos subir al monumento a José María Morelos y comer charales. Para llegar a la Isla de Janitzio solo es a través de una lancha, la cual hay que tomar ya sea en el embarcadero de Pátzcuaro o en el muelle de San Pedrito.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Okay local food... The sopa Tarasca was supposedly the best one in Patzcuaro (according to a friend) but failed to impress me. On the other hand, their guacamole was very good. The service was kind but a bit slow.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is without any doubt the best value in town. Overall the food in Pátzcuaro is very mediocre, very expensive, and the portions are tiny. It is the unfortunate consequence of the huge flow of tourists to the town.
The best food is to be found either in the markets or among the street vendors, but if you want to play it safe, this place is your best choice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had chilaquiles verde the first time, and they were wonderful. Today I had chilaquiles rojos. They were still good, but not as good as the chilaquiles verde. Don Rafa looks like a small restaurant, that is until you go up to the second floor. Great location near Plaza Chica.
