★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Muy buena atención. Muy bueno el menú y la preparación de los alimentos. Lo únicas cosas objetables son: el local está lleno de humo de carne asada y es algo desagradable al entrar y segundo, los platillos los sirven en unos platos que juntos en una mesa no caben. Ah. Y que siguen la mala costumbre de traer a la mesa la carne hirviendo de aceite y se te mancha la camisa.
 Excellent atention. Very good menu and food preparation. The only objectionable things are: the place is full of roast beef smoke and it is somewhat unpleasant when entering and secondly, the dishes are served on plates that together on a table do not fit. Ah. And they follow the bad habit of bringing meat boiling with oil to the table and your shirt gets stained.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Su nombre lo indica...variedad.... y excelente servicio y calidad... con gran tradición de Diego Ortiz dirigiendo... nos gusta la calidad y nos permiten modificar guarniciones, salsas y preparaciones... excelente lugar.....la arquitectura del lugar es de admirar... los precios son normales para la zona yo pondría $$$ ayer 13 de Enero 2021 pedí un huachinango descuidado... al horno con alcaparras, vino blanco , almendras , y aceite de oliva.....quedó crujiente afuera... que va adentro..... un manjar.... no está en el menú pero el capitán de lo sugiere como preparación

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Súper padre el servicio, muy atentos y eso que les faltaba personal. Es un lugar excelente para ir con familia o amigos. Nos recomendaron muchos platillos pero en especial el cabrito atropellado y la pasta con mariscos. El lugar se ve increíble aunque si está un poco lleno los domingos, por eso pueden hacer una reservación para no batallar.
Super father the service, very attentive and that they lacked staff. It is an excellent place to go with family or friends. They recommended us many dishes but especially the run over kid and the seafood pasta. The place looks amazing although if it is a little crowded on Sundays so they can make a reservation to not struggle.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ El Varietal es uno de esos restaurantes tradicionales en Monterrey de la vieja escuela y que cada día se pierden más. La atención es impecable por parte de todo el personal y los alimentos son muy buenos. El queso fundido, los champiñones al ajillo y las sopas/caldos que ofrecen son geniales. Hay variedad en carnes tanto de res como de pollo y pescado, además de ensaladas y postres muy ricos. Sin duda alguna uno de los mejores restaurantes de la vieja guardia de Monterrey.
El Varietal is one of those traditional restaurants in Monterrey of the old school and that more and more are lost every day. The attention is impeccable by all the staff and the food is very good. The melted cheese, the garlic mushrooms and the soups/broths that they offer are great. There is a variety of meats, both beef and chicken and fish, as well as very rich salads and desserts. Without a doubt, one of the best old-guard restaurants in Monterrey.
