The food at Hacienda las Iguanas was incredible! We stayed at an Airbnb nearby, and we are so glad we stumbled upon this restaurant! It's cute and unassuming, and we had no idea the food would be so out of this world. FYI it is CASH-ONLY, but you can use the ATM in the resort across the street if you don't happen to have any cash on you. We had a couple of margaritas, fries, shrimp quesadillas, and this seafood plate that had conch, shrimp, and a filet of fish. Everything was beyond delicious! We had planned to go back again before we left the island, but our activities didn't allow us the time. Next time we visit Cozumel, this will be our first stop!

Amazing food! Ask for the mole enchiladas, family recipe infused with almond and fruit. Leslie makes perfect mezcal margaritas as well and provides great service. Prices are a little expensive but that's to be expected across the street from a resort.

Fabulous shrimp ceviche, and muy fuerte Mezcal Margaritas. Leslie is the best bartender on the island!

Most likely you trekked over here because of the lack of food and flavors at Allegro resort, we ordered steak, shrimp nachos and side of guacamole. Service was fast and food was good .

I'll leave a review on both listings for Iguanas because this place was superb! We ate here a lot because food at Allegro across the street wasn't very good overall. Leslie was our bartender for most of the time and she was amazing! She is a super sweet person and very personable, and by the time our week in Cozumel was over, we all hugged her because she had made our stay so enjoyable and we all miss her already! She made the best handmade margaritas (along with another gentleman who was there another day--he was great, too but I don't remember his name unfortunately). The food was excellent (terrific tortilla chips and guacamole and I don't even like guac) and the chipotle sauce in the squeeze bottles was the best sauce I think I've ever had. The atmosphere was very laid-back and the service was the best around!

Excellent and authentic, the ceviche was fresh and flavorful, tacos were awesome, enchiladas wonderful, and fajitas were sizzlin. The plunge pool is really cool, you can take a dip while you wait for the food. Pico de gallo and chips are free and very good, lots of black pepper and lime. So great to break up the monotony of lunch buffet at the resort. Service was slow but I'm in no hurry on vacation and I'll take the made to order dishes over speedy service any day.

Food here is great! The boss lady is very nice. She had someone climbed the tree, got a fresh coconut for me. Afterwards, she even cracked the coconut and got coconut meat.

We wandered over here from our resort after feeling frustrated by the lack of authentic local dishes, and boy are we glad we did! We started with nachos, which were wonderfully cheesy and delicious, with a side of fresh Pico de Gallo, The beef tacos and chicken quesadillas were excellent, beautifully cooked and flavorful with fresh guacamole and refried beans to add, but the surprising star of the show was the Chipotle sauce that she brought to accompany the meal. We shamelessly used it on everything and very seriously considered asking for the recipe! The prices were so affordable that we could have probably eaten there every night of our 7 day holiday! We left full and delighted to have finally had amazing Mexican food!
