Restaurante La Perla - 40880 Zihuatanejo

I came here very hungry and wanting something to eat and enjoy so I ordered a Caesar salad and what I got was disturbing literally looked like just plain leaves don’t not order this nasty salad you’ve been warned

This is a lovely place and location but the food and service has become very bad over the last few years. Today (2022.03.03) we returned to see if it has returned to its past glory. Sadly it has not.

La Perla is such a great place to go! They have umbrella seats to rent for the day for $200 pesos and the food and drinks are really good as well. Playa ropa is beautiful and a good place to relax for the day! La Perla has very good service and helpful staff and it's not too crowded during the slower season - highly recommend!

We had the best time! We came here twice within the week and rented a chair setup for 200 pesos that was right on the beach. We weren’t in a hurry but ordered some appetizers and drinks and the service and food were great. Hands down, the best guacamole and french fries we had all trip. The restaurant was very clean and the beach was perfect.

We had a lunch and dinner. Location is great. We enjoyed “the vacation view on the beach”. The food and the price is quite normal which means “tourists price on the beach”. Unfortunately, the stuff is no good. He gave me the check without food, added the extra bill which we never ordered. Did not listen when I ordered. Then looked down me because I didn’t order a lot of food. Must check what did you order when you pay. They make mistake on purposely.

Rented a few chairs and a couple of umbrellas and enjoyed drinks and snacks on the beach. The service was top notch considering how hard those guys are working. They checked on us every 20 minutes or so. The food was perfectly fine. Not outstanding, but certainly acceptable considering someone brought it to me while I was sitting on the beach! In fact, by that metric it was the best food I've ever had. The drinks were STIFF! The margarita was practically half tequila by volume. Two of those and I was done! So shout out to Javier behind the bar and Jorge who was working his butt off running food. Those guys are pretty much super heroes. Please take a minute to consider that Jorge runs food out from the kitchen all the way onto the beach (the hot, sandy beach) while wearing black slacks and black socks and black shoes ALL DAY LONG. Socks and shoes that must be full of sand ten minutes into his shift. And most of the time he is literally running. That man earns his money!

Wow wow wow this spot is stunning! Right on the beach it’s excellent food and drinks. Oscar our waiter recommended the house margarita with his favorite tequila, one of the better margaritas I’ve had in a while. The lobster is fantastic along with the homemade tortillas. Thank you to the entire team at La Perla! We will be back!

The waiter was attentive despite the mass of people there. The food was great and they had an extensive drink menu. Only downside was that the food menu wasn't huge, but it had enough to chose from. Also quite affordable. I had the red snapper and it was amazing
