★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a hidden gem on cholula. The food was absolutely amazing and not expensive. It is a corn based restaurant. We had sopa de tortilla, a salad called ozosco, and the papamole....a red mole soup with potatoes. They also brought us some complimentary sopes. We drank agua de maiz azul. Everything was really amazing and the service was excellent. I have been driving around mex for 2 months and this was a top 5 restaurant. The strange thing is we only went in there because it was dumping rain and we were stuck. Highly recommended....beware, the menu is really unique and we didn't recognize most of the items (we speak Spanish well) but the Waiter was happy to explain. Enjoy

Apparently he travels from a village under the active volcano each day to run this great little restaurant with absolutely delicious food. Four or five mole dishes, the pork one was amazing. I have the bistek with onions, rice, beans and a super fresh salsa and guacamole. I thought I had 'discovered' a gem but according to the reviews I am a touch late to this great tasting party! Oh, and the prices are way too low! Enjoy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place has it all! Fresh, delicious food, friendly service, and affordable prices. I came back for the salad three times, it was so good! Vegetarian and vegan friendly if you ask them to take the cheese off of a few things. Eat here!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A hidden gem! It’s a bit difficult to find, since they are on the second floor. We mistook the restaurant on the ground floor for it at first. This place has authentic and indigenous meals. Each dish is prepared at the moment, and with fresh ingredients. They have blue tortillas and maza you can buy as well. They have an amazing corn drink.
