About Restaurante Sanlucar
Después de 4 exitosos años en La Santa Sed, el chef Pepe Ortega y su esposa Marcela invitan al chef Lalo Galdeano a formar parte de un nuevo proyecto: Taberna El Quillo, el cual nace en el 2013 a raíz del gran éxito de La Santa Sed y la gran demanda del mercado Queretano por lugares auténticos y de gran Calidad.
Posteriormente, en el 2015, deciden dejar el local donde se encontraba La Santa Sed en la zona de Centro Sur y enfocarse en un nuevo proyecto, y en el 2016, nace Sanlúcar, de Cocina Mediterránea, con el objetivo de ofrecer lo mejor de la gastronomía del Sur de España, de donde es originario el Chef Pepe Ortega. Sanlúcar nace de sus ganas de ofrecer lo mejor de la cocina española con toques mediterráneos y hacer sentir a sus clientes como si estuvieran en su propio hogar.
En cada receta, se incorporan los elementos creativos intangibles de la cocina Española, y especialmente la gastronomía del Norte y Sur de España. Sanlúcar es creada con la finalidad de expresar a través de sus platillos, la tradición, historia y gran esplendor del mediterráneo.
Dentro de Sanlúcar y Taberna el Quillo, se encuentra los cálidos sabores y elegancia que caracterizan a España.
Próximamente esperan darle vida nuevamente al proyecto que lo inició todo: La Santa Sed.

First time there and definitely a must to be added to the rotation; the food was great, it reminded me of being in Spain, and as someone in the group said "anything that starts with: it reminds me of being in Spain, is perfect". We were a group of six, so we had a chance to sample a few dishes. I started with the Boquerones, the lentil soup, Huevos Rotos, and had the oxtail... okay, I mostly had to sample everything, because the wine and the conversation kept me talking more than eating... Service was excellent! All around was perfect.

I took the beef cut with pimiento, the gravy was super rich in flavor and nice and thick. The beef was perfectly cooked to 3/4 like asked.
The dessert was Merengue and it too was really good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice place for Spanish food. Excellent service! The portions are reasonable, the menu has good options for everyone. Highly recommend the arroz pelao (they tell you that is for 2 but easily can eat 3 or 4 as a side dish).
