★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly staff but food definitely needs to be improved. I had a garlic butter fish fillet but it was actually boiled and covered with this industrial garlic butter preparation… very common product in Mexico but it doesn’t taste garlic neither butter to me! the rice and veggies were good but would have been better if not microwaved… it seems like love is missing in the kitchen!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The vibe of this place was great. Super cute and quality food. The margaritas were spectacular! I would recommend this place for that alone.
My partner had the El Pastor Tacos and said they were great. I'm vegetarian and was pleasantly surprised to find stuff I could eat. I had the Gringas, which were excellent. The food was cheap for the good quality.
We also tried the unlabelled mezcal, which was excellent. The owner was also very nice.
I would definitely go back the next time I'm in Bacalar.
