Rico´s Cafe :: - Ricoscafe.com

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were lucky to find this oasis out of the sun on our walk around the centro historico. Our server was just the cutest thing ever and had so much patience for us and our broken spanish. We had the trio of sliders and the guac and chips. Coffee and sticky buns to go. Everything was delicious and the place was super clean and tidy. Very nice bathrooms, which is a delight compared to some places in Maz for a canadian traveler :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super impressed with this restaurant. My friend, who's a local, recommended Rico's, and I was not disappointed. I ordered the Mexican burrito ? with machaca (seasoned shredded beef) and a café americano ☕. Both were tasty and fresh. I look forward to coming back to try the pastries ???

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We tried two of their locations while staying in Mazatlán and had a great experience in both. My husband and I both enjoyed being able to eat some of the "comfort" foods of the US that are not so easy to find since we've moved to Mexico.
We went to this location second, on a Saturday around 9:30am +-, and we're able to be seated immediately, even though they had already drawn quite a crowd. My only minor complaint is that when it was time to leave and we wanted to pay, we never saw our waitress. We waited probably 15 minutes before we could pay the bill. Like I said, that was probably my only complaint. We had bought a loaf of bread and a cinnamon roll to go, which were bother very good as well. I enjoyed snacking on the cinnamon roll on our drive home. We will definitely return next time we're in town!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been coming to Ricos Olas Altas several times a week during my 7 month stay in Mazatlan. The staff always does an excellent job serving and taking care of our various needs (like opening the shades to see the sunset!). Oscar is my favorite waiter, speaks excellent english and goes above and beyond. I always remember and am respectful of the cultural differences that exist and have an extra measure of patience and gratitude especially when new servers are training.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rico’s café in Olas Altas is my favorite go to place on the Malecón, because the food and the service the staff are unquestionably the best. They are very good at their jobs, especially Oscar and Aurora (The best). They are highly empathetic, attentive, friendly, quick and caring servers. They easily answer any question one might have as they really know their menu.. They always have a smile for you when you arrive. Both the food & coffee are always delicious. I was there last night and as always it was amazing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I were very impressed. A friend recommended it, and we were not disappointed. We both had an IPA from Tres Islas and an order of tropical Ceviche to start. So fresh and delicious. I also ordered the Mediterranean Ensalada, very delicious and my husband enjoyed his grilled chicken wrap.
Daniel was a fabulous waiter. Looking forward to going back and trying more from their menu.
