I wish I could put more stars ; stories and history of Mexico on every wall (ask the owner Jesus for some) . Bonus for coffee refill with my desayuno good WiFi and Pancho Villa stories . Have a try !

Enjoying the food is like home (maybe better) but above all, meeting the owner and his PERSONAL service it's an excellent experience. We recommend this place for those looking for a truly MX homemade experience.

There is no set menu, just what the chef happens to feel like; owner described the course before we sat down. The restaurant is small & cozy but very eclectic. Party's of six or less is ideal. The owner is very friendly and loves showing you pictures of people that have visited from around the world.

As soon as we walked in, he promised an authentic traditional Mexican meal, but all we got was reheated, flavorless food; to say the least! Another bad failure, was the limited choices of food. The owner claimed to be too busy to take our orders so he took it upon himself to bring us what he so called a buffet of food, but all we got was very little choices and portions to eat from; totally NOT worth waiting for! To add insult to injury, it was so overpriced! Owner is very nice man, but I feel like he deceived us.

It's like going into someone's apartment. They were not too busy to we got the romantic room. The owner was very nice, spoke a little English. The food was very good. Authentic, just like mom used to make it. The restaurant is old and could use a makeover but it's charm is part of the experience. We recommend this place and we will go back next time we're in Zacatecas.
