We spent 2 days with Rick attending the advanced sailing clinic. It has been amazing! In line with our expectations in terms of learnings and autonomy. Rick adapts to the level of his students and has the right level of advice. On top he is very nice and we were happy to know more about him and his experience. His boat is perfect to have fun! And whales are just the perfect bonus. We definitely recommend!

This was the best experience of our 9 days in Puerto Vallarta. Rick was extremely knowledgeable about sailing, amazing with drinks and dinner stuff, had local stories and knew his way around, but most of all he was just a normal guy living his best life. He made us feel at home like we were sailing with a long lost buddy. We went out twice, one sunset cruise, then another mid day-sunset cruise as we were invited back and it was the highlight both times. If your in PV and you don’t take this trip your missing out on a lot of laughs, one hell of a fantastic vibe and some all around great memories which will last a lifetime.

What an incredible experience! Took a group of eight out for a private charter and we were all blown away by the entire 7 hour adventure. Departure time was catered to our group needs. Some shots of tequila down the hatch, and we were off! We got lucky with a breezy sunny day, and we enjoyed the best margaritas and sangria as we sailed across the bay. We made our way to a "secret beach" where we all jumped ship and spent an hour exploring and wading and just loving life. Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, we were welcomed back to the boat with amazing ceviche, kabobs, and shrimp-stuffed avocados. The food was restaurant quality (honestly the best I've had on any excursion) and went so well with the drinks that just kept flowing. We took off to catch the sunset, taking a dip in the perfect water in an area all to ourselves. Everything was completely catered to our group needs and Rick was constantly ensuring every member of our group was having the best time. I cannot recommend Rock Star Sailor enough. Imagine your perfect charter, and they will exceed those expectations! Thanks again, guys!!

A group of us went out for a 40th birthday celebration and we had an amazing time. Ryan and Javi were fantastic, we saw basically every single whale in the ocean, went swimming, went paddle boarding and the food was really tasty! The margaritas are hand squeezed! I can't think of a better way that we could have spent our day and can't thank the guys enough for making it so special!

Rick and Javier were great. Super knowledgeable. Sailed alongside dolphins and whales, enjoyed Javi's legendary margs and awesome skewers, snorkeled and enjoyed the sunset. Can't go wrong with these two gents. As an instructor, Rick is the guy to sail with if you are itching to actually sail as opposed to just getting out on the water. Will definitely book with them again.

I surprised my husband with a private sailing trip for the two of us on our honeymoon, and it couldn't have been a better experience! We loved sailing, swimming, and watching the sunset. The food and drinks provided were fantastic (especially the sangria!), but the exceptional service was what made the trip so perfect. I highly recommend sailing with Rock Star Sailor if you have the chance!

The most beautiful night! Rick and Javier are absolutely incredible. Providing AMAZING dinner and cocktails, we had so much fun sailing around the bay during sunset. They made us feel like family. I only wish I would have extended our sailing ride for longer! Thank you thank you for this experience. We will be back!!

Valentine's Day Cruise Rick and his first mate Javi make sure everyone is happy and has a wonderful experience! The food is great and delicious drinks. Rick is a wealth of knowledge that he loves to share. He made sure we got to see a beautiful sunset and was able to find LOTS of whales and dolphins up close!!
