The ruins of Kuluba is a show that the Mayans give us! The ruins are at kilometer 21 (Yucatán colony - Tizimin race) the road is made of white earth and stones you must be careful to get to the ruins but without problems you can put your car (I have a dodge attitude and it entered without problems). It has a cost to enter the ruins but you can give a tip to the man who indicates how to get there, do not forget to bring water because there is nowhere to buy something to drink, bring a cap, hat, long-sleeved shirt, sunscreen or things that you Cover from the sun because it is strong. After the ruins visit a cenote that is a few minutes away (it reaches the town called Tixcancal there you can ask for the cenote) the cost is 25 pesos and you can only pay in cash, there is no cell phone signal I recommend you download the map. The cenote is super virgin and few know of its existence. You can bathe and there are life jackets right there, don't forget to bring your towel and snacks.

Beautiful place full of beautiful nature very different from the great ruins that are very crowded. Very difficult to access site that I also do not recommend with a small or luxury car and I recommend you be very careful with the ruins so as not to damage them, I recommend bringing mosquito repellent and everything you need for the sun. Price for strict mada that you only contribute something to the caregiver. I recommend for lovers of nature and tranquility.

For the price 75 pesos it's still okay even if it's only 3-4 ruins... it's still just as impressive Once off the main road, it's a 10 min gravel/stone road... be careful if the car is low More or less 30 minutes on the site The guard is nice :)

Absolutely wonderful! Another MUST SEE site. Bring your lunch, climb to the top of the pyramid, sit and relax. Enjoy the beautiful view.

The great Mayan Civilization flourished across Central America occupying the present day southern Mexico, Guatemala, Belize and Honduras. It's past glory is peeping through the ruins eagerly waiting for visitors since last 1000 years to tell the whole story. Great indeed. One such Mayan ruins is the remains of a vast magnificent Mayan Palace over thousand years old in Kulubá about 100 miles west of the tourist destination of Cancún. The building is 55 metres long, 15 metres wide and six metres high probably made up of six rooms and may be part of a larger complex with burrial site also. This has two residential rooms, an altar and a large round oven. The place was in use from 600-1050 CE. What made the decline of great Mayan Civilization will linger on even after you leave the Ruinas de Kuluba which is located in Tizimín Municipality, northeast Yucatan, Mexico. Good luck.

Great little site. Not too far off the pavement. Nice little missionary church on the way in. Willie the guide made sure I saw all of it but neglected to mention the seed ticks. There are millions of them in clumps waiting to latch on to anything moving past. Scrape them out with a fingernail while they still look like burrs in the skin. They won't stay like that for long and will migrate North to get a better feed.

Without Google Maps would not have found the ruins. There is a faded sign when you get there. There are two parts to the ruins. One close to the road and one 1/4 mile off the road. I would not try the road when it is raining as it might be tough without a 4x4. We made it in dry conditions in a Chevy Aveo. There were no other people there on a Tuesday morning in early May. We saw a monkey in the trees by the entrance. I guess it is unusual to see them there.
