From the Instructor: Years ago, I used to be one of those man who after a party had to go aside of the group because I did not know how to dance. I got tired of that, and attended a private dance academy thinking that was going to learn how to cance this time. To my surprise that did not happened; I struggled trying to keep up the lessons and communication with my current instructor, in a few words, I was totally disappointed so that I was closed to quit in my new adventure. However, I decided to pursue my goals but this time in a different way. I decided to become my own Instructor. Knowing my strengths and much better my weaknesses, I structured a technique that allowed me to accomplish my target with excellent results. If anyone is looking for getting a fun hour workout...a dance class with Fernando is your answer. He is an amazing leader on the dance floor. With his strong, yet quiet and patience leads, he makes you feel like you really do know how to dance. At my age, of sixty four, I never thought I could move my hips and body while enjoying moving as we dance around his studio. Just follow Fernando’s lead and he does the rest. I love my two hour private dance classes each week with Fernando... I promise you will too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fernando is an incredibly talented and thoughtful teacher! He is not intimidating at all and is very kind. My husband and I had so much fun learning from Fernando. He is truly special and unique in his approach, the best classes we've had. Fernando adapted to our needs and I felt like he really wants his students to progress. He even fit us in last minute for an extra lesson when we loved the first, he also provided lots of videos after the fact as well. For once, we are actually motivated to continue our practice in Cumbia thanks to Fernando.

The “postura, adornos, movimiento y drama” are super important for tango, cumbia, bachata, kizomba, etc. I am having so much fun while I am learning. Dancing with a wonderful dancer is MAGIC.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our family of 5 just visited San Miguel for a week and one of our very favorite things we did was take dance lessons with Fernando!! Fernando was one of the best instructors I’ve ever had in learning something new. In only an hour, he taught all of us to where we were already dancing. As someone that has never been able to learn dancing or aerobics cvery easily, I was so impressed at the way Fernando broke the dance into small parts and moved forward at just the right pace! I wish we would’ve had longer in San Miguel so that we could’ve taken more than one class. With as much as we learned in our first class, I can only imagine how much more we would learn from him. Not only was Fernando able to offer great instruction to all that showed up, there were several other dancers there that assisted and were there as partners for anyone needing one. It was my daughter’s 15th birthday and it made her day!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do yourself a favor and sign up for classes with Fernando when you visit San Miguel. He is an excellent and patient teacher. Even if you think you can not´ dance or feel shy about it you will have a wonderful time and build rhythm, grace and stamina. You can have a private lesson, a lesson for couples or join one of the groups. Iḿ doing a lot of activities while here and can honestly say this one is the most life affirming and soul touching one of all.

I found Fernando and his dance classes and fell in love with the people, the classes, and the events. Fernando is very passionate about what he does and he is very patient with me as I had 0 idea how to dance. I highly recommend you taking classes with him as he can teach you a really fun and lifetime useful skill
