Prepared to be overwhelmed! First you walk into a small entrance after being removed from the dusty, congested Beach road of Tulum. The long entrance is divided into three sections. Your first portion, begins your catharsis of beach and sand. You are met with dark colors, antique furniture, and flowers. Your pretty hostess then guides you to the second portion of your passage. Short and dark interlude. I. The distance you see the bold colors of morrocan red and lit by parallel lights and mirrors. It will remind you of a scene of the "Mummy". Once in the morrocan red passage you are entering a new dimension. The decor is overwhelming. Beautifully adorned tables. We were met by Ahmed the manager. His glistening smile immediately radiates positive energy and sets the mood for the evening. Having never ventured in Morrocan food, we asked him to plan our evening. Absolutely perfect. We seated ourselves opposite the planned entertainment. Our initial apperitif was Martini. One made with him the other vodka. It was complemented by host of various breads each with its own particular spice and flavor. Rightly apportioned and perfect for cleansing the palate Our appetizers include a delicious Hairira soup and dates stuffed with almonds, and chicken pastilla. The soup explodes with various spices of the middle East and balanced with a bite of your dates. The chicken pastilla Is grounded chicken in a sweet empanada style pastry. The mix of chicken with sweetness is phenomenal. Our wine for the evening 2015 Morrocan blend, syrah, "Tandem". Smooth, balanced, with many hints of berries. It complemented our main courses: seafood tangine for me and my wife had chicken tangine. The sauce reminiscent of Indian cuisine with more hints of sweetness. Perfectly presented. Ahmed waited for us to finish our wine and then finished the evening with our dessert. And explosive chocolate cake and almond pastilla!!! This was complemented with a delicious green tea! All aspects of the meal were perfect. My after dinner drink was my favorite an Old Fashion. Now during the midst of all this, in the background the rhythmic beats of house Morrocan music. As the night went on, the beats overwhelm you and in minutes everyone is dancing under the dark sensual lights and the morrocan red walls. In the center the preserved the natural beauty of the jungle and have constructed a light room to sit with this beautiful mangrove. Further back of the main dinning room is where you will find 3 amazing mixologists, who will create with chemistry perfection any libation you desire or wish to have them create! The pricing is perfect and I tipped handsomely. It is worth it! Food, drinks, dance! This place will out perform all other restaurants in Tulum. I suspect reservations will be mandatory shortly. This place is awesome. I will be posting my videos on fb and Instagram. Check them out! I am going back!

Moroccan, I just met him, lol.  Double entendre aside when I think of this restaurant the words outstanding, resplendent and exceptional come to mind.  Sitting here in Tulum this restaurant facilitates memories of a younger man, myself sitting on the streets of Marrakech.  They boast a traditional and authentic Moroccan cuisine and a lively nightclub ambience later in the evening.  It's very dark so don't bring your sunglasses and it's very busy so make sure to make a reservation.

The good: Nice decoration. Nice welcome. Very Accommodating. Irvine was great, he should be promoted to be a server. Desert was great. Nice music. The bad: Management has not control of this operation. For a table of 12 people they designated a brand new server. She didn't know absolutely nothing about the menu and anything else, literally just a order taker... We ordered the "pastilla": Caramelized hyper sweet shredded lamb wrapped with puff pastry, absolutely nasty. Ate 1/4 of it and they didn't want to take it back (yes we finished paying for it). The rest of the food was just ok to say the least. The hookah girl was very nice but the hookah needs improvement. On top of it, was freaking overpriced for what we got. By the way mister owner we have the budget to eat wherever we want. So, save you comment about how expensive is tulum and all of that... The saddest part this restaurant was what inspired us to come to tulum ??. So disappointed. Save your money and go to Tantra, best place in all tulum!

We went for our friends birthday this restaurant was the reason why we booked our stay in tulum my friend fell in love with the ambience she loves Moroccan food so of course we had to go. The food is one either very salty or overly sweet. Cocktails are bitter and sour. The hookah girl rude rolling her eyes when we told her to fix it for us. And worst of all the server. She had no clue about the menu or how to properly serve a group of people. This was a huge disappointment. The bus boys are incredible they deserve a chance to be waiters.

This place was such a let down. We had a reservation that was confirmed. And showed up and there was no reservation. I was so excited. We planned to stay all night. The food was whatever, find another place and I love Moroccan food. The service was horrible. I wrote my order down on the phone to make sure there was no miscommunication. And the server got mad at me saying I ordered something else. She rolled her eyes and walked away. They took our plates full and didn’t accommodate for anything. There was just so many excuses made and no true customer service.

Went here in April for dinner and May for an evening drink. Photos don’t do it justice but literally had the best salmon dish I’ve ever tasted at Saikuk. It was moist and served overtop a bed of quinoa and scalloped potatoes. Flavours were screaming with each bite I had. Liked that they served pita with olives to start. Ambience was nice. The second time I returned it was more of a party with a DJ but it was a good time. Service is okay but I’ve had better. Otherwise I’d return!

Out of the week we stayed this was by far the worst place we had went to. Our stop here was supposed to be the highlight of the night but ended up ruining it. The server that worked our table was incredibly rude and had no sense of customer service. When it was brought up to the owner there was no attempts of making the issue right. The food was so-so. There is far better hookah at any other location. The food presentation was good, atmosphere and ambiance was nice, but far overshadowed with the poor customer service. If you looking for a cool Instagram post by all means this is the place, but you're better off spending your money elsewhere.
