★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked a private tour in the afternoon and had a great time! Alex is very knowledgeable about the area and took the time to educate us about the lake and how to protect it from the negative effects of tourism. He was very friendly and flexible, and his guacamole was delicious! I highly recommend doing the sailing boat tour instead of the motor boat one for two reasons: it is less harmful for the lake, and the experience overall is so much better! It is quiet, and you can enjoy the slow-paced vibe of the lake and its silence. We finished the tour with a gorgeous sunset that made the experience even more special!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is THE BEST tour in Bacalar. The captain, Alex, was welcoming and accommodating and all-around pleasant to have as guide. Great navigating skills showing us around the lake. Perfect option for private tours and for families, all the while being environmentally conscious. Thanks!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great experience! Since it's a sailing boat which is dependend on wind obviously you might not get always as far with this tour and maybe do not check all the popular spots in Laguna Bacalar. We did both tours, the 2 hours by motor boat and the 4 hours sailing. If you are only here to quickly take some beautiful pictures and then rushing further go for the motor boat. We really enjoyed our sailing trip. It gives you time and peace to enjoy the beauty of the lake and Alex and Dany were great guides! You are not rushing from one spot to the other but visit the lake in a way more eco-friendly and sustainable manner, sustainable also for your memory. We did the afternoon sunset tour and it was amazing!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I did an abundance of research before booking the Sailing Colibri. As you may have already found, there are several different tours available with an array of other companies. I'm here to save you time and say, don't hesitate further and book The Sailing Colibri!
Before I booked I had countless questions, and they were readily available to answer all the questions I had before booking and post booking before the trip. They were able to accommodate our private tour with a customized food and drink menu for a small extra cost. The day of the actual experience, the captain greeted us and notified us that we'd be starting on time. Once we boarded, we were sailing off to one of my favorite sailing experiences ever.
Miguel and Franco were amazing! Miguel was the captain, and Franco was his assistant but also our wonderful host. They both shared an abundance of knowledgeable information about the area and its history. We made two wonderful stops where we were able to soak in the sun and water. Franco and Miguel prepared an awesome assortment of fruit, guacamole, and delicious ceviche. Franco did an amazing job at making sure our drinks were always refilled. One thing that stood out the most was another boat had issues (visibly the captain's negligence), but Miguel guided him through getting out of that mess. Perfect time to mention to do your research and not just book anyone or that type of stuff can happen LOL. The sunset was amazing, and the only complaint is the ride had to end! Thank you Miguel, Franco, and the rest of the crew for making this birthday an eventful one! This is exactly what I wanted!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I booked a trip one day before. As I was not sure which one to choose I called the company before. Gracia was very nice and answered all my questions. We also connected via Whatsapp. So very easy and nice contact, same with online booking. After my order was paid I received email with all the details and necessery information.
The day of the trip was no wind, so I was asked if I wish to proceed with a trip or I want to cancel it. Obviously sailing needs the wind... This was my only day in Bacalar, so I didn't want to miss the chance to just enjoy quite trip, so captain use electric engine. Quite and very slowly we explore the lake. Very professional that organizer give an option to cancel the trip. So if you stay longer in Bacalar and you are sailor lover, you can wait for the wind. Anyway, decision is yours.
Captain Miguel was very nice and professional. I really enjoy the trip as well as small talk we have about traveling and sailig passion of captain.
At the end wind came and it was obvious that this trip would be so mych better with it. But you cannot control the weather :)
What else you can expect: great views, cold beer and delicious guacamole.
Thank you Gracia and Miguel!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have an amazing time in this trip, the lagoon is so beautiful and we pass through incredible spots? The crew, Miguel and Franco are so nice!! We were just 6 people which makes the experience very private and peaceful. At the end we watched the sunset and offered nachos and delicious guacamole and drinks? We highly recommend this experience, it was what we liked most in Bacalar ❤

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our family of four (two kids of 10 and 11 years old) loved absolutely every aspect of this tour! From the friendly and knowledgeable staff to the beautiful boot and the magnificent surroundings, it was perfect.
They took us to the best parts of Bacalar Laguna. The color of the water is beyond words and swimming in these crystal clear waters was a bucket list experience. We also loved how peaceful sailing is on this lake. We had the 3 pm tour which means we got to enjoy the sunset as well. It definitely added to the magic!
Oh, and not to forget, we got delicious fruits and some of the best guacamole we ever tasted!
Highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to see the Bacalar Laguna, loves sailing, and wants to have a perfect experience in this area.
