A bit pricy, but a fun activity. We took the whole family out on the boat. The River was very crowded but it was fun to be on the water being pushed along by a gondola like man.

One of the smaller Embarcaderos. We took a lancha collectiva from here to the Natívitas Embarcadero which is much more lively! Standard Lanchas are 500peso per hour, but if you keep ignoring everyone and just walk right up to the boat you can travel on a collective style boat for just 30 peso per person one way. Really keep ignoring everyone, even a few feet from the cheap collectiva boat a lady was telling us it wouldn’t leave for ages and we should pay 500peso for our own boat. They leave when they are full enough, but that happens quickly enough on a Saturday afternoon - bonus of the collectiva boat is you are less likely to be boarded by a mariachi band! It does stop off half way at a house offering food and snacks which is handy. The journey is at least 45mins depending how busy the canals are and it’s great to soak up the party atmosphere on a weekend as all the other boats go by.

My suggestions: Go with a group of 6 or more. The price is for the service USA $100 of the trip. You are allowed to take your own food, drinks (booze) and speaker. Its an experience. (There are different rides tourist ride has restrooms, ecological ride extra charge to view and doll island 5 hours no restroom. ) Oct 2020

Always a great treat to float down the canals. You can drink beer, get food and even hire mariachis.

Fun Sunday! We arrived at 1130am and rented a boat for 400mxn/hour. The vendors weren't too pushy , and we could have probably haggled a bit, but we just wanted to start under the $500mxn maximum. They gave us a small boat since we were a family of four. They're weren't many did vendors before we got to the boats, but we were able to buy corn, etc from other boats. Two hours seemed about right for a small (jetlagged) family

A floating hang out party. I want sure what to expect, but it was a cool experience. Our group was small, but if you bring a group of friends, food, drinks,v and music...a boat can be had. If you don't feel like preparing, then plenty of traditional Mexican food, live music alcohol, snacks, souvenirs, etc can be purchased directly on the water from vendors in their own boats. Also stops can be made along the way to use the bathroom, or to stop at shops, garden centers, etc. We even stopped at a reptile display. An interesting and authentic Mexican experience.

Very touristy, maybe a little too much. Don't get ripped off when u get to the pier, boat ride should cost 500mxp per hr, doesn't matter how many people. They tried to charge me 3x the price and i got away with it at 800mxp. Good fun on the canal with all the street/boat vendors, mariachis, food and drinks. Some guides are better than others. Traffic going back downtown was terrible.
