Samora is a magical paradise. Think winding pathways that all lead to a pristine, private-feeling beach, delicious made-to-order healthy meals, and cozy beds in overwhelmingly lovely, designed rooms. Every detail has been chosen by Sammy and is delightful. Staying here was like melting stress from my body and mind. Will be back asap.

We had a fantastic time at Samora. It exceeded our expectations and we have not stopped talking about it since we left. It is the perfect combination of casual chic and boutique luxury. The staff is very attentive without ever being in your face and the owner, Sammy, made us feel completely at home. The property is very well cared for and has great amenities. We woke up every morning watching the waves roll in from bed and spent our days lounging between the pool and ocean (which is only a few steps away). We would go back tomorrow if we could.

Samora is such an amazing experience. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the nicest staff members, who helped me to my room. Each room is different in the resort, but all are very nice! The rooms are clean and comfortable. There is air conditioning, shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. The food is amazing and the chef is so accommodating. Everything about the hotel is beautiful; the pool, the beach, the decorations, etc. Sammy is an incredible host. I highly recommend a stay at Samora and I can't wait to go back!

Such an awesome time in Samora, the most relaxing environment... quiet, spacious, secluded, awesome pool and right on the beach. Great food and drinks. We got a day pass and there was barely anyone else there. P.S. if coming from Puerto Escondido, do NOT miss the turn and think you can just take the next right... you won’t make it in a car, and will have a scary time if on a scooter or bike :p

Came here a couple times during my stay in Puerto Escondido. First time was great. After that, each time I stopped by for lunch or dinner, the food would take an hour and half for pasta and a salad. I mentioned this to the owner and he gave a thumbs up and said whatever. Rooms look great. Service could be better

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at Samora during our whistle-stop tour of Mexico, and Puerto Escondido. The resort is magical - the pool, the beach, and the gardens are perfectly maintained, and the staff are very welcoming and want to please. Going to sleep every night with the ocean as a soundtrack was incredible, and the setting of the rooms was perfect. The food and drinks were generally very good (they do an excellent G&T to watch the sun go down), and whilst the sea has large swell, you can enjoy playing in the waves. We would return in a heartbeat. For a resort of this cost, the only small things we’d want to see differently, would be bottled water in the rooms (or at least a refill of the jug provided every day) and proper beach towels - so you don’t have to use your bathroom towels around the pool and on the beach (which weren’t replaced with fresh towels when the room was cleaned). Overall we would recommend Samora to anyone looking for total relaxation and solitude, with great service, in the most beautifully well maintained setting.
