★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow! I had the sopa de mariscos to go, and it was a phenomenal price, so tasty, much more quantity than I expected and absolutely packed with seafood. Fantastic! I give the most stars to those places that under-promise and over-delivery, and San Carlos is just amazing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We decided to try San Carlos based on previous reviews and my wife and I loved it. We walked there from the central market. It has a bit of Cozumel rustic charm where we were warmly greeted by Diego the owner and he spent time with us getting us delicious seafood and learning about his locally owned business that he operates with his family. Diego has a delightful baritone voice and was singing favorite Mexican songs during our delicious meal of grouper and ceviche. We can’t wait to return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super friendly, we asked for something a bit different from what they had in the menu and they prepared it very well. Large portion. They were fast (not common in Mexico) for the type of food we asked for. Nothing to complain about! Good job guys.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is probably the best place on Cozumel to get ceviche’s or whole fried fish pick out what you want and kiss it goodbye because it’s going into the deep fryer. It’s only open until 5 PM so get there early

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited this restaurant on a food tour. The fried whole fish was absolutely amazing. We also had the opportunity to speak with the owner who was accommodating and added entertainment. We would have returned if we were on the island longer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was excellent. Service was pretty bad. Our original waiter started cooking after awhile. We had to wait about 20 minutes after asking for the check. We were about to just leave. Chatted with the owner a bit. He was nice. Lots of lime in everything. Gave us some ceviche to try.
