Es una comisaría ubicada al sur de Mérida, pasando la hacienda de Santa Cruz Palomeque y la comisaría de Dzununcan; a 15 minutos aproximadamente de la ciudad de Mérida. En estas épocas del año es la tradicional fiesta del pueblo con la clásica vaquería, bailes y juegos en el parque.
The name (San José Tzal) refers to José de Nazaret y Tzal which means "stony place" in Yucatecan Maya. It is a police station located south of Mérida, passing the Santa Cruz Palomeque estate and the Dzununcan police station; approximately 15 minutes from the city of Merida. At these times of the year it is the traditional village festival with the classic dairy, dances and games in the park.
