★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Su nombre es San Juan Yucuita se localiza a 7 kms de Nochixtlan, en el estado mexicano de Oaxaca en la Mixteca Alta.
Su idioma original fue el mixteco, en la actualidad ninguna de las 500 personas que tiene el municipio lo habla. Fue una zona invadida y conquistada por los mexicas, por esa razón prácticamente todos los poblados son en náhuatl sus nombres como Yucuita o Nochixtlan.
Hay antecedentes del lugar por 3,500 años de antigüedad, cuenta con zona arqueológica, aún es frecuente encontrar tepalcates en los campos de siembra.
La actividad principal es la agricultura, a dolece de caciques que aquejan a la población con prepotencia y malos manejos sus complices el comisariado de bienes comunales que invaden propiedades y luego las vender dando a cambio un acta de posesión.
El palacio municipal lleva 3 años y medio tomado por la población. Expulsó a los integrantes del cabildo encabezado por Gildardo Rodríguez Ramos.
Its name is San Juan Yucuita, it is located 7 km from Nochixtlan, in the Mexican state of Oaxaca in the Mixteca Alta.
