We didnt have to pay an migration fee of 550 pesos, its only necessery if you stay in mexico for 7 days or more, as the migration officer said. The boat itself felt safe, plenty of life jackets, smooth ride. The boat had like 50 seats, not even half of em were taken. Would use it again.
R	Rosa Leigh Designs on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were not told of Mexican border and Belize border fees until we were on the boat: They told us we needed cash or we would not be allowed to cross the border. Would have been good to know before we boarded. They lost one female solo travellers backpack on the Chetumel-Caye Caulker run. They ended up finding it after about an hour, it had fallen into some secondary pit inside the boat. Upon it's return it was soaked with water, ruining her books and her camera inside, soaking her towel and clothes. We lent her some dry clothes until she could sort out the mess they left her with. I feel bad for her, as she was on her own and they caused her lots of stress and trouble.

Real scam is the price, online is super high and once you get to the islands all the agencies will offer half the price!!!!! If at all, buy a one way at the dock and get your return on the island. USD becomes Belize $
R	Remmi Demmi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wanted to get to Caye Caulker fast, but it is a really bad idea to get there from Chetumal. You will get ripped off by the ferry service, and then in my case at the border again, as I had my bicycle with me (travelling by bicycle). Way cheaper is to take a bus (or cycle) to Belize City and take a ferry there!
B	Brown Eyes on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The San Pedro Express water taxi is quick. Arrive early to get a good seat. When you arrive at the port in San Pedro you have to check your bags. The guys will load them on the boat. You get them back when you get to your destination. Be sure to get in the correct line for your destination. It will be crowded so listen for your destination. If you're going from Belize City to San Pedro, be prepared for a long ride. They go from Belize City to Cay Cauker then to San Pedro. I will admit the ride is long but you get to enjoy the beautiful blue water. I felt like our boat had too many people on it.

Prices were fair. There were plenty of departure times and we left on time. Rides were quick and smooth. We would use them again.
B	Beth Glenn on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Use ocean ferry. They’re a lot nicer and a little cheaper. We bought a round trip ticket to Caye Caulker accidentally. I meant to buy our departure ticket from San Pedro. When I asked the company in Caye Caulker what to do, they said it would be fine. We got to San Pedro, ready to leave and they wouldn’t let us on the taxi without paying $5 extra for the extra fair from SP not CC which is fine and totally would’ve taken care of that sooner had we known. The lady behind the desk charged us $36 for new tickets. Obviously I had no leg to stand on to argue with her since I had to make that exact ferry to make it to the airport on time so I just paid it. We used ocean ferry to get to San Pedro from CC. Definitely will use them again. Giving it two stars because I actually was able to get on the boat.
A	Amber Haworth on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Comfortable waiting area and everyone here was very friendly and helpful. The little store on site opened just before the immigration window so you can get drinks and snacks here before your boat if you didn't bring any.
